You have WVU, Auburn, and Texas A&M but you don't have USC, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan, Penn State, etc.

When talking about pure passion, I wouldn't question Texas A&M at all actually. Those Aggies are insane for their team from my experience. Sure their team really may suck, but their passion lives on. This is one of the few fan bases I truly respect, because most of them are also realistic about the past they just love that school.

Largely those other schools you mention have large fair weather fan bases (too which I would include Florida State on a national level), so the passion can be questioned a bit more I guess. The funny one on there is Florida, given most of their in state fans were Seminole and Hurricane fans not too long ago.

As much as I hate A&M, they're fans by far have the most prominence in Texas. They are very proud of their crap of a school.

Even in suckage, they still have thousands show up to midnight yell practice before every home game.

It's a shame we don't have more A&M fans on OS. From my experience they generally aren't too obnoxious about the rivalry with Texas.

I wouldn't consider USC fans passionate. They don't even sell out several games. Notre Dame certainly has the least educated fans (both football and actual education), but I think it and Michigan fall into the "there's a lot of them" more than that "they're passionate". Hell, isn't Michigan stadium known for being quiet?

Aside from number of bandwagon fans, I don't see an argument for any of those three schools over any of the 10 the OP listed.

without a doubt, the South Carolina Gamecocks have a more passionate fan base than any team in the country ever has, ever could or ever will have. period. They averaged nearly a sellout during the 1999 season and guess what....they went 0-11. No other team does that. Those guys, are unbelievable. Every season is like a new shot at an SEC, a new shot at beating UGA, and after they start off 0-2 or 1-1 and finish 7-5 they will have sold out every game and half of their wins are against the likes of UL Monroe, UL Laffayette, Troy, Wofford College, Kentucky, Florida Atlantic etc. I am sure Cebby will find somthing in his magic stat-book to counter this but you can't counter the fact that these guys show up for their team come rain or shine, come 0-11 or 9-3. And Bowl games........s**t....let these a$$holes get to 9 wins and anywhere near the top 15 and the Fiesta Bowl will want them because these people travel to Alaska for a bowl game.

This is not about wins and losses bro. South Carolina is like the 83rd winningest team in NCAA football history. You are not convincing anyone that they f----n suck ok? They know they suck. I personally have attended many games there and they pack the house for a game against Wofford. This is also not about "home field adavantage." Are you kidding me? Clemson has more victories at Williams-Brice against UScar than they do against us. Yeah they leave at haltime...when you are getting that a$$ beat by 'Bama, UGA, UT, UF or Clemson by 30 at the half would you stay when you know you WILL NOT come back? They are passionate and that's what the thread is about. They pack stadiums, travel well and it doens't matter if it's "The Mr Clean Spit-Shine Toilet Bowl presented by LifeTime channel" their fans will be there in hordes.
