Since kobe is that cover boy do you guys think kobe did animations for 2k10? Hopefully they got his jumper and a good fadeaway animation....

I did hear that he did some mo-cap, or was in line to do some... how much and what moves he did though are something I have no idea about.

KG was the cover last year and his jumper and fade away etc looked nothing like his unfortunately

They have "9,000" new animations. Though not all of them made it into the game. One of them HAS to be Kobe's, or imma have to ask wth where they recording? Lol

Is it even possible to have 9000 different animations in a basketball game? Let alone 9000 "new" ones? Unless they're talking about animation frames, of course.

Did Garnett do mo-cap for 2K9? I don't see his name in the mo-cap NBA talent list. Dount Kobe will do mo-cap though..

What sucks about modern nba game is the players dont do mo-cap for their signature abilities.

hopefully the future holds in store all NBA players taking a day with a "at home" mocap kit to record their stuff.

Get used to it MJ. These players want money for their time and they are not just going to spend time doing mo cap sessions for free. If anyone does this it will probably be EA since they have deeper pockets to go out and get these guys. I think Take 2 is just too cheap when it comes to anything other than GTA..

but if we put ourselves in the shoes of Kobe Bryant. his dream was probably to be in a video game. why would he only take money to do mo-cap? Id jump on that if i made millions of dollars a year. i dont need 5K for a mo cap session.

being immortalized in a video game is enough for one human being.

How can you be on the cover and not do the mocap? since this is the 10th anniversary they should get it right this version..... but if you were kobe and you're on the cover would'nt you want them to get everything about you on point?

It did say in the article that any animation that was pre 2K9 had less than a 50% chance of making it into the game and since Kobe's had the same shot since 2K7 along with the fact that he's the cover athlete and everyone hates his sig shot, I would imagine they will change it. Although, like someone before said, they didn't change KG's shot last year so you never know.
