Slowing down the game speed like Madden
After playing the Madden 10 demo I really like the way they slowed down the game. I can see holes opening better during the run game and see when receivers are open. I was wondering how everyone felt about it.69Yes0%31No0%10That's fine if I have option to change the game speed0%28Tags: None -

The slowed down gameplay IMO is much more realisticEA Sports, perfecting mediocrity, one step at a time. -
Re: Slowing down the game speed like Madden
What? Real game speed is much faster. Lots of guys are complaining because they "only" have two seconds to throw the ball. In real life, you are lucky to have two seconds.
Might as well just play in slow motion.
Watch the vid. How many times is the QB sitting there for five seconds making reads. Notice how fast the game moves.Last edited by sois; 08-07-2009, 04:39 PM.Comment

Re: Slowing down the game speed like Madden
Speed is fine. You almost have to have the college game go faster because of the difference in speeds of players. Slow players in the NFL don't seem as slow when they are in college. Slow people in college are MUCH slower than the NFL slow.North Carolina Tar Heels

Re: Slowing down the game speed like Madden
I understand your point but I disagree. Ask any NFL rookie what is the difference between college and pros. One word comes up....speed. The Madden demo is too slow IMO (although the speed can be adjusted in the retail game) and the speed of NCAA varsity is just right.
Just my thoughts on things.Comment

Re: Slowing down the game speed like Madden
I don't think game speed is the real issue.
What NCAA needs is a more dramatic acceleration/deceleration curve and more explosiveness from the sprint button.
That's how you'll really have time to slow down, watch holes open and the explode through 'em.
I also think that since they fixed pursuit angles they should bring back NCAA 09's speed curve for elite-speed (95+) players. Even the fastest players in NCAA 10 seem kinda slow.Last edited by Strummer101er; 08-07-2009, 05:28 PM.Comment

I hated the demo cause it was too slow. I like the game fast paced but that's just me.Comment

Re: Slowing down the game speed like Madden
I know the difference is the game is faster. I mean, I'm saying NCAA is the right speed. Madden should be sped up as a whole to show the game being faster, but not having as big of a difference between the burners, until you get to guys like Devin Hester and Eddie Royal. Have those guys have an extra gear, but have like a 70 speed guy be closer to a 90 speed guy than they should be in NCAA, if that makes sense. The speed disparity should be smaller in Madden, but the game speed as a whole should be faster.I understand your point but I disagree. Re: Slowing down the game speed like Madden
I wish everyone will STOP comparing this to Madden. It's never going to be like Madden. If you want Madden game play, go play Madden geeeeezzzz. It's getting old as hell, Madden this, Madden that.Comment

We aren't comparing it to Madden for which is better. Well, the OP is, but a couple of us are comparing them and the real sports to get the correct game speed in.North Carolina Tar Heels

Re: Slowing down the game speed like Madden
LOL. Tell me, how on earth do you expect them to get real game speed in a video game? huh? How? It's not possible. Game speed varies by game to game. There will never be a way to imitate game speed. You just can't do it. It's not possible.
All it is is a guessing game to them.Comment

Re: Slowing down the game speed like Madden
Basically all they need to do is improve the sprint button and the game would be much better. Because currently the acceleration in this game is like running in mud.Comment
