I don't get all the animosity. The guy was sincere and apparently thinks a lot of the game and the development team. And he's right: 2K games are deep, and they always have been.

1st of all I thought there was going to be a big blowout of info and videos this week at I think gamespot.com.... Then I watch this... Same video footage we have seen.. They they developed this game with the Wii in mind.... Wow I'm mad....People have told me to wait because it's early....Well now it's Aug 7th and still waiting.... I will wait still a little longer but each day that passes with no info, 2k gets a slimmer chance to get my money...I used to love 2ksports and used to talk them up to friends but this is rediculous

Chin up old boy, don't get down. Play NHL 10 for a couple of months and by that time there's bound to be some decent info on 2K10.

It pains me to say the same thing. Which each passing day and no info the more the scale tips in favor of NHL 10.

I love it, "the development team is so fanatical about the little things in hockey" One reason 2k has always been head and shoulders above EA IMHO. And he's right about it being a simulation of the sports although I would say it's the best simulation of hockey to date.

People always have a problem when I say that NHL 2K9 was the best simulation of any hockey game I have ever played but it's the truth. Simulation means having all of the little things you would see in an actual game and I think 2K does that very well. It's a brilliant brand of hockey. They get the little details right all the time. Imagine EA NHL 10 just fixed it, so this year the team on the penalty kill team can get another penalty called against them. I read that in years past you could slash all you wanted on the penalty kill team and not have to worry about something getting called. It's great that it was finally fixed, as was separate line changes and board play, but those are the things that make a video game a true simulation IMHO, not how hard or good the A.I. is.

I love their attitude and passion about their products. The "if it's in the game, it's in the game" motto should belong to them.

Well I feel better now. Why do I feel better now, becasue I like what the guy said. He said they are trying to make a fun game and realistic game at the same time. That is all I want. So now I get it, we all want something different. The good news is EA's will be the game for you and 2k10 will be the game for me. Why hate on me. You have EA's so let 2k10 make a game that I want. Why should you guys get both games the way you want! I like what I am hearing and I love the presentation.

2K9 on the PS2 was the best hockey game last year IMO. And as far as a hockey simulation goes, it's much closer to how the game is played in real life. That might change this year as the competition has added board play and other features, but as far as last year goes, 2K9 was it.
