Hi guys-
Wow. I am not happy w/ ncaa...even in thought of total abort..

I was playing on wed night....living it up as tennessee....played a crappy game...ended up being tied 24-24 w/ 230 left....I drove down the field w/ bryce brown....3 sec. left I am on the alabama 4 yard line...I called TO.....i set up and made the field goal....flag on the play....holding...

now, by right generally alabama would accept and I would be kicking from the 14yard line....

NOPE!! Game ends goes to OT....After I stop Bama....GAME FREEZES!!


Wow....i am still mad!!

Wow that sucks. This game does no doubt have some quirky cpu cheating. I findthe cpu cheating against me mainly right after i score td's. Either the following kickoffs or them scoring on pass plays when their wr will bounce off of about 10 tackles.

I have no hate for Bryce...he did what he did. I think we are better off with James and Miller...

on a side note...tennessee was picked out of a hat when me and my buddy picked teams for our preseason online dynasty....

i've heard about the game freezing...but I've yet to see it, and I've played probably 50 games. Anyway, that sucks that it just went to OT and then froze...super lame.

this happened to me but at halftime. Not the freezing part just the penalty ending the half.

The penalty part is correct. The game (or half) is only extended on a DEFENSIVE penalty. If there is an offensive penalty and time expires, the defense can take the penalty and because there is no time left on the clock, the game (or half) is over.

no that is not correct....

the field goal was made...unless the defense declines the holding penalty (which would end the game)..it would need to accept the call..which would let me rekick from the 14...

If i missed the field goal, then the game would end and go to ot...but since the field goal was made.......

not if time had expired. There is no free play on an offensive penalty. When they accepted the penalty, regulation time was over.

If there was still time on the clock you are correct, you should have had a chance to re-kick.

But since you said you called the TO with 3 seconds left, I am assuming there was no time left, so you were not cheated. My suggestion is make that Oline guy who got called for holding run stadium steps!

im not sure where you got this information but its not correct, the "cant end on a defensive penalty" is only partially correct, the game cant end on any accepted penalty. if he had missed the fg, the defense would have declined the penalty and therefore ended the game since he had made the fg, the penalty would have been accepted and would have had 1 more play.

Yep, the game cannot end on a penalty. The only thing I don't know about is a post possession penalty like a personal foul for unnecessary roughness, but I think even then it can be accepted and extend the game a play.

It's not exactly the same thing, but one time, I played this guy online and we went going back and forth the entire game. At the end of it, I had the ball and the game was tied at like 24. I drove down the field, and got to about the 25 yard line. There was about 10 seconds left and I had two timeouts left, so I decided to run the ball to the left one time to get the kick centered. I got to the middle of the field, got tackled and tried to call a timeout...

except it wouldn't let me call a timeout. I pressed the Timeout button at least 5 times, and it never called one. So I decided to press pause and call a timeout that way but when I did, the game froze... for both of us. Neither one of us could move in the pause screen, so we both were forced to quit.

It's been a long time since I've been THAT pissed.

Know what your talking about before you post. A half or game can't end on a accepted penalty, the holding call was accepted and the half still ended.
