Is EA Taking Paid DLC Too Far for Madden NFL '10?
I say "Yes". They are making us pay for items that have always essentially been free in the Madden series, especially in regards to All-Madden difficulty in Online games. What do you think?386Yes - I will not pay for items that were essentially free in the series long ago.0%320No - It is a fair business model/strategy to maximize profits.0%66Tags: None -

I for one wont be paying for it. Why didnt we hear anything about this during the producer interviews and what not? Because they know that its just not fair charging gamers (who already put up a hard earned 60 bucks) for something they should be getting for free. Now if it were classic stadiums then I might consider, otherwise forget about it."I wanna walk down the street and people say," "There goes Roy Hobbs, the best to ever play the game."Comment

Re: Is EA Taking Paid DLC Too Far for Madden NFL '10?
Listen i have no problem with paying for certain DLC but the garbage there offering is insane. These are features that should be part of the core game. If EA is that hard up for extra cash then offer me Team specific crowd chants "hail to the redskins" offer me a "user defined camera" offer me every uniform the washington redskins have ever worn in there team history or "classic stadiums ie RFK" . Ill gladly play for those but they can take this garbage and stick it up thereComment

I agree with Thunderstruck...I'd gladly pay for something like team specific features, but none of the stuff on the DLC list. All of them sound absolutely ridiculous.Comment

The only thing I'd pay for is spectator mode if they had it otherwise, charging for a difficulty level is complete BS.Comment

800 points for all the DLC packs. Separately, they vary... one thing I am surprised to see in the Madden Store is "Online Franchise - purchasable in Xbox Live Menu.
Didn't see that coming....AndyP > @_sportsjournalComment

Re: Is EA Taking Paid DLC Too Far for Madden NFL '10?
Selling Madden cards, etc. is fine. Where EA crossed the line is locking All-Madden difficulty online. All-Madden difficulty is part of the game I PAID FOR. Not a bonus, not a new mode, it's part of the game and has been part of the game for a long time. If I can play someone sitting on my couch in All-Madden mode, I shouldn't have to pay to play against my buddy in All-Madden when he's at his house. L-A-M-E!Comment

I don't think that you have to pay to use the All-Madden difficulty. It says it features All-Madden difficulty and is tuned towards the hardcore crowd. The way I interpereted it is that it is basically All-Madden with the sliders adjusted.Comment
