Re: Notre Dame Fighting Irish Community Edits

I've provided my recommendations in a few other places, with the hope that others make the changes when they do the wholesale roster corrections. Here they are:

    1. FB Luke Schmidt replaced by # 32 (same number ironically) RB Theo Riddick - Schmidt will never see the field again after multiple concussions. As posted by another fan, Riddick is a true freshman, 5'10, 185, black, is very fast. He should be rated slightly behind Cierre Wood.

    2. WR George West replaced by #81 WR John Goodman - I don't see West seeing much playing time, but Goodman in competition with Kamara and others for the #3 spot. Goodman is a redshirt freshman, 6'3 197, white. He's fast and ratings should be comparable to Deion Walker.

    3. Number changes (with correct number listed):
    RB Cierre Wood (20)
    WR Shaquelle Evans (11)
    LB Carlo Calabrese (44)
    LB Zeke Motta (17)

    4. TE Joseph Fauria replaced by #80 TE Tyler Eiffert - Fauria transferred. Eiffert is a true freshman, 6'6, 220. Ratings should be similar but lower than Ragone. Both are receiving (vice blocking) TEs.

    5. Class corrections (with correct year listed)
    LT Matt Romine (SO-RS)
    RG Chris Stewart (JR-RS)
    DE Emeka Nwanko (SO-RS)
    DT Sean Cwynar (FR-RS)
    LB Steve Filer (SO)
    LB Darius Fleming (SO)
CB Gary Gray (SO - RS)
    CB Raeshon McNeil (SR)

    6. RT Mike Turkovich replaced by #75 RT Taylor Dever - Turkovich was a LT that graduated last year. Dever is SO (RS), 6'5 308, white. Ratings probably are accurate.

    7. Number and Class Changes (corrections listed):
    DT Hafis Williams (79, FR-RS)
    DT Brandon Newman (99, FR-RS)

    8. LB Maurice Crum replaced by #48 LB Dan Fox - Crum graduated, Fox is a true freshman, 6'4 219, ratings could stay the same.

    9. FS Leonard Gordon replaced by #22 SS Harrison Smith - I believe someone else gave the lowdown already in this thread on Smith, who is 6'2 212, white, SO (RS). He should be the higest rated safety on the team.

    10. SS Sergio Brown moved to FS.

Get the roster from my locker and you'll be set as an ND fan. You might want to adjust Montana to Sharpley, but I think Nate's coming back. Also have Bobby Burger as te as indicators where he would play even if Fauria didn't leave.

What about James Aldridge? I believe he graduated yet he is still on the original roster set.

            Any replacements for Aldridge?
            What?

Aldridge is back, he'll be the starting FB.

For ND fans, what are you doing about the defense?

The team's depth chart lists a 4-3 with Neal, J. Ryan, and Wade at DE which is the same way as the game has it.

The game has them as a 3-4 team though, so should that be switched to a 4-3, or do you move those DEs to OLB for the hybrid position?

Defense should be switched to a 4-3, Tenuta is running a 4-3 set. How do you do that on the game?

Don't you just set defense before the beginning of the game? Or is there a more in-depth method of going about that? I'm new to the game so figuring it out myself.
