    Madden in True 1080P

Just wanted to say that I have a Pioneer Elite 1080P native and I see no jaggies on Madden at all. Really nice reminds me of NBA2K9 on PS3 at 1080P. Really nice. Just wanted to let those people out there know if you have a 1080P Plasma it looks really good. Like I got right up close and absolutely no jaggies guys. WOW! This is incredible.

The ps3 does not upscale 720p games to 1080p does it? I know it upscales movies well but I have not been able to upscale 720p past 1080i? I heard the madden ps3 version looks better @ its native resolution 720p resolution

This is for the PS3. This is true HDMI 1080P picture with no jaggies. Very nice. Sorry

Yeah I read Ian's quote as well. However Looking at the game in both; 1080P native is great looking. Doesnt affect the game in the least. Plus it looks really good and there is no upscaling what so ever. Its native. Back of the box has 1080P not upscaling to 1080P from 720P.

Do you have the game. How you gonna tell me and I'm looking at it now. It doesnt say upscale it says this exactly. "*Video output in Full HD 1080P requires an HDMI cable and a 1080P Native display with an HDMI input supporting HDCP." Plus the Plasma doesnt say 1080P in the display if it were upscaling. Upscaling doesnt happen here in my house. LOL Your Bad!

It is not rendering natively at 1080p. The ps3 is doing a horizontal software upscale From 720p or 1080i to send a 1080p signal to your tv.

Yeah, thats what I thought; madden runs 720p native for both the ps3 and 360...

Not many games on consoles can render games @ 1080p native...

I have a 4870x2 + 4870 running in tri-fire and can run everything @ 1080p native and I will agree that you can see a huge difference between upscale and native for example...

prototype and fear 2 look amazingly superior over the ps3 and 360 even being a port because of the higher resolution.

With that being said, the 360 upscales games better; the ps3 upscales movies better from my experience

                      Re: Madden in True 1080P

Ian himself even stated that its full output on the PS3 this year is 1080i.

                      http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2039670492

Your TV is upscaling that. Its NOT "True" or "Full" (both of which are advertising terms anyway) 1080p. The source is 1080i.

                      1. FYI - Madden supports 1080i this year on PS3.

                      2. Fight Night has a TINY arena and only TWO characters to render. Don't want to take anything away from their visuals, as they are amazing, but the needs there are quite different between their game and ours.

                      3. The PS3 didn't exist when we created the Madden next-gen graphics engine. FN4 started from scratch with their graphics engine, knowing full well they wanted to support both consoles in full resolution.

I have yet to get a true response to whether or not anyone here has the actual game. If not wait and get a look for yourself then comment. Dont just comment off of what someone has said or what you think might be the case. I'm looking at what it says and just like my blue ray box says 1080P for movies (are the just upscaling a dvd from 720P to 1080P) what are you guys talking about and why say something that is not happening. Last years game had 720P not 1080P on the back of the box. Now you're telling me they have upscaled. Wouldnt they just add that in or not include that 1080P is possible. Its the same disclaimer thats on my BlueRay Disc is all I'm saying.

Are you sure? I mean that would be excellent if it was 1080p native but it sounds too good to be true. I have a 1080p LCD.

That someone, was the head guy in charge of the game you are playing (Ian). No one needs to have the game regardless. I doubt that it's 1080p native. It would be a nice surprise but unlikely.

lol I am straight with my 720p 52" screen. I have played on 1080 and it doesnt really impact on how I view games. Can anyone tell me anything of significance from 720p to 1080?
