Re: Red ring of Death for 360
Giess what man? I was set on getting the 360 version because the graphics are better. Turns out, when I start up my xbox, it just freezes into the screen, sometimes before it even gets there.
I'm freakin sick of it. Looks like i'll be stickin with the ps3. Microsoft knows about all these stuff and how they rushed a console out just to get people to buy it without addressing the faultiness of their products.Comment

Re: Red ring of Death for 360
E74 is a hardware failure I thought, I've had this happen to me before and all I had to do was fix my hard drive.
I might be wrong though.Comment

Re: Red ring of Death for 360
Every new electronic device has issues when it's released. The 360 gets hot, it's no surprise, but most of the issues that occur are due to the 360 not having the required space around the console to keep it cool.Giess what man? Re: Red ring of Death for 360
Microsoft now replaces 360's for and E 74 failure. Would have been nice if they had it a year ago.Comment

Re: Red ring of Death for 360
E74 is different than the RROD, but both are protected by warranty. Call Microsoft or go to their website to get it repaired. I got a E74 error last year before they started covering them under warranty, and I just bought a new 360 instead of paying for them to repair it. Now that they're covering it under warranty, I just sent it back to get repaired so I'll have a backup in case my current one dies too.Comment

Re: Red ring of Death for 360
I'm on my 4th 360 in less than 4 years. Luckily, i've had the Best Buy extended warranty since the beginning so i've just exchanged it for a new one each time. before the last time it happened I told myself i'd go PS3 if it happened again but when crunch time came I couldn't bring myself to leave Xbox Live and games like Mass Effect, Gears of War, Bioshock, etc. behind. The 360 library is too strong and the online service is too good.
But next time it happens i'm going PS3.

Re: Red ring of Death for 360
Has anyone not had a RROD lol? I had one last year, but luckily it was in May.
If they didnt have the warranty, Id have just ditched em and stuck with my PS3, but I much prefer the 360 to gaming/online and the warranty covers it. I use my PS3 as a blu-ray player/media server more than anything.UF - Class of 2000. Gainesville born and bred.Comment

I haven't had a RROD, but I had a E74. I have a couple friends who have newer 360s (over the past year) and haven't had any issues though.Has anyone not had a RROD lol? I had one last year, but luckily it was in May.
