Whoever looks best during the pre-season. Some guys start out great as rookies, some don't. If i'm a Lions fan I want W's asap. And from what i've heard Culpepper is in great shape.

Give the rook a chance. It's not like they can do any worse than they did last year. For the amount of money they are paying him, make him go out there and earn it.

Culpepper. Don't let your rookie QB get killed behind that offensive line.

Hard to say in this instance. I think you need to see how each QB does in preseason.

Well actually, with the addition of Jon Jansen that OL has improved a lot.

Stafford, give the city of Detriot a reason to watch football.

Throwing Stafford in right away will turn him into David Carr with that horrid offensive line. Let Culpepper play for a bit.

Culpepper, let the kid see the game at full speed before throwing him into that inferno in Detroit

As of now I would have to say Daunte Culpepper. Unless Stafford has a stellar pre-season. The Lions better wait until after pre-season to make this decision.

While what u said was true, culpepper was there when they went defeated last year. The organization wants and need a new start a figure they can put new hope in. If he shows even a glimmer of potential I think he should start.

While a contributer to that winless season the Lions had a lot more going against them than Culpeppers play at QB. The big issue to me is that right now the Lions do not offer even a decent situation for a rookie QB, especially one you just gave a lot of money to. The o-line is terrible and there isnt a running game that they can lean on to take pressure off of the QB.

As much as I love Stafford, Culpepper needs to start and Stafford needs to set and watch for a few weeks.
Relax, it's just a video game!
