Looking forward to Georgia Tech this week. Should be good like last year.

It was finally sunny. Could actually wear the visor out there yesterday. It felt good to not have to worry about the weather and just focus on the game plan. Apparently our offense didn't take the same advice.

They had trouble moving the ball all day. Worst part was the interception return for a touchdown with 30 seconds remaining. We were moving down the field to set up the game winning field goal...BAM pick six. It was heartbreaking. It's early in the season, but it's going to be hard to win the ACC or play for the National Championship after this game.

      13 Tackles
      3 Tackles for Loss

I more then doubled my tackles for the season, but I feel like I could have done more. It just sucks losing to a team we beat so easily last year. If Ty and them were here we would have won by 30.

Something I've Really Begun to Dislike September 19, 2010 - 2:19pm Posted by AllstarMe

Decided to spend most of today studying since I haven't been doing much of that lately. I really want to stay on the Academic All-American team this year, so ya know...gotta keep doing stuff I hate to do it.

So the game yesterday. What to say, what to say. We went up 28-7, only to have ECU storm back and nearly take the game from us. They barely ran the ball, and threw so many incompletions it was really hard to actually make tackles. Cris Hill led the team with 7, but I had the second most with 4.

I hate passing teams, ruins my statistics. Our statistics I should say.

          4 Tackles
          1 Pass Defended

I did what I could, I played positionally against the pass, and they only completed one on me. Not much more I could have done.

Sure do. They're slightly more than last year. I want to reach 100 tackles again. I want to be named to First Team All-ACC, Academic All-American team, and one of the All-American teams. I want an ACC Title, but that's a team goal ya know?

                Cakewalks? September 26, 2010 - 2:19pm Posted by AllstarMe

Lehigh Valley. I don't know who, or what thought it'd be a good idea to schedule these chumps for us to play, but wow. They aren't even a good D2 team. All I have to say.

We ran base defense all game, nothing special. They couldn't do anything. I finally forced my first fumble, and it was returned for a touchdown. That was pretty awesome. We treated this game as a scrimmage basically, we didn't want anyone to get hurt, but we knew we could use the practice.

                1 Forced Fumble
                1 Pass Defended

Hard to get good numbers when the team passes a ton and most are incomplete. I don't think 100 is in sights this season, but I'll keep doing what I can every week.

                PS I hate the rain.

Washed Up? October 3, 2010 - 11:11am Posted by AllstarMe

Six games this season, five heave been played in the rain. Is it just me, or does god want us to play in crappy conditions week in and week out? Anyway.

What has happened to me? Last year I dominated. I led the team in tackles weekly, but now it seems like I can't even get to five in a game. Is it the teams we're playing? Maybe. Is it me? Maybe.

Coach seems pleased with my play, but I have like 34 tackles in 6 games? I was nearly at 70 I think last year at this time. I have 4 sacks and two forced fumbles this year, but I'm not making the routine plays like I did last year. I feel slumpish.

                      1 Sack
                      1 Forced Fumble

The only thing that made this game for me was when I nailed their quarterback and he fumbled. That's it. Otherwise I spent most of my day getting knocked around by tackles.

Reality Check October 10, 2010 - 3:30pm Posted by AllstarMe

It was finally clear. I felt really good going into this one because I know Carolina likes to run unlike a lot of the teams we've played so far this season, and well...we blew it.

Our offense gave them an averaging starting position of our 39 yard line. How insane is that? We were down 24-3 at the half, and we just...we sucked. We fell apart, we couldn't hack it.

I don't think we even have much of a chance at the ACC Title game this year. Woe is us. Practice is going to be tough this week, you can count on it.

                            9 Tackles

It's my curse it seems. I make a lot of tackles, but we get trounced. Give me 5 tackles, 1 Sack any day of the week and a W and I'm a happy camper.

If I did the math on it, I'd have to say you're on to something. I'd say atleast 80% of the time they run plays to the left side of the offense, away from me. I make a lot of my tackles in the middle or right side of the field in pursuit.
