Elite Gametype... What Exactly Is It?

I've the blurb about it in the game but what does tuned for the hardcore mean exactly? Is referring to hardcore tourney players, i.e rocket catches and arcadey or is it people who want to play strategic football, i.e what Ian Cummings was talking about in his earlier blogs? Is it something entirely different from these? It's $5 so I'd like a better idea before purchasing if anybody knows.

Elite Status - $5
-Lets you play ranked online matches with All-Madden difficulty. Elite Status also features separate lobbies and leaderboards.

*Side not just in case you didn't know this - back on the ps2 and xbox, you could play ranked online matches with All-Madden difficulty...for free.

People pay $60 with tax, and then have to pay extra to play all the available features.

Am I missing something with elite thing? I went ahead and did it but I don't see any "Elite" lobbies and I have no option that I see to invite to All Madden ranked games even when I click on another player in gold letters.

You can just do play now ranked games and then you will get another elite status player. I have not seen the lobbies either.

You can just do play now ranked games and then you will get another elite status player. I have not seen the lobbies either.
