EvanRG's '15 min' Sliders (Very Slow) - Derived from HolyCrap's Sliders

!! These sliders were derived from HolyCrap's Slider Set, but I I've made a lot of changes -- still I give him 90% of the credit for starting what I finished.

I usually don't share sliders but I spent the good part of three hours tonight play game after game trying to get the best feeling as far as:

    - Not too many big plays
    - More sustained drives by the CPU
    - Less cheap interceptions and fumbles
    - 15 minute TRUE game with 120-128 plays

After tweak after tweak, I feel like these are pretty darn good. Switching to Very Slow helped the CPU seem less rushed and also cut down on big plays, IMO. I got 120-128 plays CONSISTENTLY which is fabulous. I'm surprised people said that 15 min was too drawn out because it feels great to me. I just got done with a game, Jaguars vs Oakland -- about the 3rd time I've played this match up, and these were the stats:

Jacksonville 23 Oakland 20 in OT
    Tot Off: 368 -- 274
    Total Plays Overall: 128
    Rushing: 140 -- 159
    Passing: 228 -- 115
    1st Dn: 18 -- 12
    Turnovers: 2 -- 0
    Fumble: 1 -- 0
    Int: 1 -- 0
    3rd Dn: 8/20 -- 2/15
    Poss: 47:27 -- 21:28

    Individual Passing:
    D. Garrard 27/46, 268 yds 1 TD 1 INT
    J. Russell 10/25, 140 yds 1 TD

    Individual Rushing:
    D. McFadden 27 att 164 yds, 6.0 avg, 1 TD (long of 32 yds)
    M. Jones-Drew 22 att 127 yds, 5.7 avg, 0 TD (long of 63 yds)

    ---

Try these sliders out -- I know they seem crazy, but they work great for me. I'll keep testing these but personally, I don't see myself making many more changes -- you are more then welcome to use these as a starting point -- that's the best idea I can give you.

Re: EvanRG's '15 min' Sliders (Very Slow) - Derived from HolyCrap's Sliders

Just played NYJ vs Cincy -- I was NY...

    Final Score: NYJ 30 -- CIN 22

Tough game all around -- I made a major mistake on a coverage which gave Benson a 80 yard run, but it was my fault and not the sliders... He finished with 180 yards on 26 carries and was the work horse all game -- Still, Sanchez found his rhythm going 22/35 for 220 yards 2 TD, and 2 INT. My Running Back, Jones finished with 111 yards on 21 carries.

    This game is too fun.

Oh, and one major note I'm proud of:

Time of Possession was split 31:30 to 28:30!
Total Number of Plays was 124!

I'm gonna check these out in the morning. They look pretty decent. I've always had a problem finding good sliders because my skill lies somewhere in between pro and all-pro. I'm hoping these work pretty well.

Best advice if you try these out for the first time -- just as in real football, play to stop the run and it will make pass coverage a lot easier.

        Good luck.

I'd love for someone to try these out.

I just had my first Franchise game and beat the Vikings with the Browns 26-13 despite 180 yards from AP. The Vike's QB really did them in with a horrible day and some key INT's.

I traded Braylon Edwards for Josh Freeman (KSU QB, was on TB as Backup) and picked up Edgerin James off the FA list -- not a bad offseason, IMO.

I just did. Now, let me preface this by saying I s*ck at Madden.

After my fourth pick 6 to go down 31-0......in the second quarter, no less....I reverted to default Pro.

Perhaps more peeps that can actually play Madden decently will give better feedback. Sorry I couldn't be more help....(That bad game was CLE (me) v. Packers).

Re: EvanRG's '15 min' Sliders (Very Slow) - Derived from HolyCrap's Sliders

I played as Miami vs. Atlanta with these. I didn't take down the stats but I thought it was a good game. I lost 20-10. Out of the box passing on Pro was too easy for me and I haven't figured out how to run yet so I'm struggling there. Intermediate play action passing was a little more difficult, but manageable. Still couldn't stretch the field with my WR's but not sure I'm picking my spots right. Running was not so good, seemed like a few too many plays where their line was in my backfield but some of that still may be due to playcalling. My longest runs were probably 6 yards and I didn't have many. Turner had a few 8-9 yard runs and finished with around 80. They had one big play to White caught a slant between the safety and corner in cover 2 and he took it about 40 yards to the house. I had a big play down the middle to Fasano on a blitz that set up a FG.

I'll have to play more to get a good sample size, plus I need to improve at running the ball and throwing outside to my WR's. But at first glance without much Madden experience the gave a pretty good result.

These look good but maybe too difficult for some. I may try some of these depending on how my current set works. People who aren't having success should check out Marino's Sliders

Gonna try these now. I've been putting up 60+ pts and getting shutouts on Marinos sliders even though the feel for them is very good.

Hope this are a bit more difficult.

i've been running with Marino's too but i'll give these a try
but before i do i have a question
Are you having a hard time rushing the football?
what are you using for special teams?

the only thing i dont like about those sliders , is the human pass blocking is 13 and the cpu pass rush is 53. now i tried to keep tight ends in to block and using motion as well, but i dont think you get a real amount of time in the pocket. i should be getting at least 3 seconds with a 3-4 front and 1-2 seconds with an all out blitz. i should def be able to complete my dropback if anything.

i like your stats , but i think people will have a hard time with those

i just saw these, i been looking for some good sliders, so im going to see if these are any good, i like the stats, im into slow playing games, with the most realism. These sound pretty good. Going to start my franchise with either the ravens or giants, ill let you guys know.

I've been doing some major tweaks, but I'm leaving the originals up.

These may not be perfect but the best way for you to get a good game is to make tweaks every time you play until it just feels right.

In my opinion you should tweak the sliders no matter what everyone else is saying. No one plays the same so the sliders won't work for everyone.

I'm finding my best success in the Flats with my passing game, but over the middle is manageable. I took CPU INT's down to cause more knockdowns and also increased CPU QB accuracy while keeping WR catching at 40.

I'll post more stats soon, but feel free to try these out.

Game felt great overall. Houston returned an INT in the 4th for a TD that was all my fault, should have taken the sack. Will report more as I play with a few different teams.

Game felt great overall. Houston returned an INT in the 4th for a TD that was all my fault, should have taken the sack. Will report more as I play with a few different teams.
Time of possession looked fantastic! I had the CPU put up a 16 play, 7 minute drive on me today which was real exciting, but that game looks promising.
