Is anything going to be done about the bizarre rosters on the current gen? Its like playing with historic teams and im not even going to get into naming who's all messed up just take a look for yourself.

I really hope so. I really like the old gen gameplay, and as a Bucs fan and a franchise guy, this game is pretty much unplayable until they fix the rosters. Alex Smith still on the team, Jermaine Phillips still at safety when he should be OLB (and you can't change it! Brutal!) are just a couple of examples.
If they aren't going to update it, I geuss I'll have to myself, but I'd rather save the time. If anyone gets word on when a PS2 roster update will come out, let us know! -

This PS2 ratings are completely off, Vanden Bosch the fastest DL, Urlacher faster than most HB WR and DB and stronger than most DE DT and OL really!!!!Comment

After carefully comparing the ps2 rosters to ps3 rosters I believe the reason why the btk is so high for the lb, dt, and de's is because the game designer's have now programmed btk on def into (power moves) rating which is found on ps3. go here:"http://maddennfl.easports.com/cover.action" and you can download the team rating spreadsheets for ps3... compare them to ps2 and you will see what I mean...I also believe whoever put the ratings in for the ps2 was dislexic for some of the speed ratings you see that players are way to fast example: Fitz(98spd) it should be (89) according to the ratings on ps3. The dude who put the ratings in on ps2 just mixed around a bunch of the numbers... I already did an edit of my eagles and the overall ratings are looking much better (L.Booker went from 89 to 83) after changing according to next gen spreadsheet. SOMEONE JUST GET ME THAT UPDATE IN MAX FORMAT ON HERE AND I WILL GET YOU BACK SOME FIXED ROSTERS!!!!Comment

OK here it is, .max and .sps enjoy!
I will fix the rosters and ratings also but it will take me about a week or so. If you guys want I can post them here also, but just to let you know I make a lot of changes to the rosters and ratings. I did this on past Madden games and 2 me it plays much better and more realistic, i.e. I change most players stamina rtng so players like HB and DL don't stay 8+ plays with out a TO or 2mn warning on the field. Also change the Build on most players so the 320lb OL or DL doesn't look like a tall CB.Comment

Guess this is how EA decides to get ppl to stop buying the PS2 version so they dont have to make it anymore. There F up the rosters, leave the gameplay alone, and then steal your 40$. Good job!Comment

Lorenzo Booker....89 ovr.. I know I can't have been the only person to notice the ridiculous player ratings. I am really angry about it; I feel like I've been totally ripped off. EA doesn't add anything worthwhile to the PS2 version anyhow, you mainly pay for the roster update, so when they totally screw that up, there's really no point in having the game. The list is far too long to put here, but a few notable ones: Randy Moss 89 SPD, Calvin Johnson 87 SPD, yet T.j. Houshmanzadeh 92 SPD, Fitz 98 SPD, Defensive players with insane BTK while guys like Lendale White, T.J. Duckett, and LeRon MCclain all have BTK below 60. Ahmad Bradshaw is 16 pts stronger than Brandon Jacobs, Eli Manning has the same arm strength as Jay Cutler, Kyle Vandenbosch is the fastest DE in the game, more than 20 points faster than Mario Williams, and the list goes on. I would encourage everyone on here to complain to EA about this, as it is not right for them to sell such an utterly terrible product. I have already sent a letter to several different people stating I would like my money back or a new, actually decent version of the game. The more raucous we cause, the harder it is for EA to not doing anything. Whatever protest anyone can provide would be great.
Ohh yeah Steve Smith is a 90 speed! Lmao Fitz is a 98? that makes sense.
