I love the game. I do! I have hardly put down the controller since I got it!! I like the pro-tak, I like EVERYTHING!
.... except the blatant overuse of the over the shoulder catch. The over the shoulder catch is the new spin catch. And even sometimes I want the player to do the spin catch when he is doing the over the shoulder. And they only seem to look over their right shoulder even when the ball is over their left! That is when the player should do the "spin catch" animation... well not the 180 degree one... but turn around and catch the ball when in traffic. Face the QB and the ball and bring it in! Instead while the ball is over his left shoulder the player looked over his right shoulder and moved more to his left and made the catch. Or on the right sideline and the ball is on his left... he looks to his right and the ball morphs to his hands. I mean really?? Can they put more catch animations in the game or what? I think the over the shoulder catch looks great! But it should be done when the ball is thrown OVER THEIR SHOULDER! Don't make the player slow down their running to make the new animation. If the throw is short, turn around, face the ball, and try and make the catch!
EA please patch this if it is possible. I think the new game is outstanding but this is just putting a new animation that is not appropriate, to cover an old on that was unappropriate. Both catches need to be in the game... but should only trigger when the throw is to the right spot and when it would be realistically used.
