In previous Maddens I always found it more comfortable to control the vision cone manually, as I could look-off to an area of the field without worrying about locking on to various receivers. (and all of the button presses involved).
By the same token, in passing, when I was done looking-off and ready to pass I could swing the cone to the area of the field my receiver would be crossing into, then just press the throw button once, Instead of double tapping multiple times to swing the cone around to look-off, then finally pick a receiver to throw to.
Just wondering if anyone else used the vision cone this way, or found it easier / faster NOT to use lock on?
*There are certain situations where I do use lock on, as in passing to a certain player immediately when facing a blitz, but for the most part I never used it.
Thanks.
