Nano Achievement! I love it! Thanks Devs

I've been upset about a few things in the game but I want to give some positive feedback to the devs. I know many of you guys in this forum are sim players and this will upset you. But I just want to give Ian and co. a huge THANK YOU on recognizing us players that love nanoz (by awarding the "nano achievement" after the first successful nano) and that style of play (you can call it cheese or whatever) but nanoz are part of the real NFL.

    thanks again

I never knew what a nano blitz was until I got the trophy.

I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not... but whatever I don't play online that much.

not sarcastic, i had good chuckle at the thought of so many sim players here who abhor nanoz and call anyone who uses nanoz as cheaters or exploiting the AI but were heaping praises on the game while the game recognized nanoz as a legitimate strategy. Now that its officially part of the game, I wonder if we can start posting the nanoz we find on OS forums now.

its not cheating if you bring a guy free and they don't have enough guys to block. It happens in the nfl pretty often.

It's still cheese if you can do it consistently.

Yes, sometimes a linebacker will time the snap perfectly and get in the backfield to sack the QB before a hand-off.

It doesn't happen that often. Do it once in a game, sure. Great. Do it every play? You're a cheeseball.

LOL, you would like them. Without being able to get pressure in 2 secs with the exact same play over and over again, you might actually have to THINK God forbid.

Thx for starting a thread in response to the one I put up too. You know damn well something serious is wrong with the o-line. I didnt even mind the "nano" type pressure in 09 because it was pretty balanced, and you had to overload the o-line to get a "nano".

Now its like we're back to Madden 2002 or something. You can get instant pressure with only 4 or 5 guys, even if the offense has more blockers than you do blitzers. It wasnt like this last year and IT NEEDS FIXED.

Excuse my lack of "hardcore" knowledge, but what exactly is a nano blitz?

Finding a way to break the A.I. of the pass blocking, so you can get instant pressure with only 4 or 5 guys, even if the offense has an equal or greater number of blockers.

The way the game is right now, someone can literally force you to block 4-5 blitzers with 6-7 blockers. What a joke. Clowns like the guy who started this thread revel in this garbage because they want to find the simplest foolproof thing to do all year so they dont have to think strategically.

How do they go about doing this, exactly?

Note: not asking because I want to use it, I don't even own Madden 10.

Well, it starts with bad blocking a.i. first and foremost.

But the physical setup on defense lies in the ability to "re-blitz" defenders straight down.

Example:you may have a defensive play where certain blitzers are running at angles, but if you use a defensive hot route to make them blitz again, theyre blitz angle will change to a perfectly straight line. You can DESTROY the offensive line with this, way easier than you could in 09.

Like I said, someone right now has the ability to make you block 4 blitzers with 6 guys all game. Fight for every yard indeed. What a joke.

I played the Bucs(cpu) vs the Cowboys(me) and got 8 sacks! It was a premature online franchise game and we had to start over so it didn't count. But wow! I know the Bucs suck this year but man 8! So anyway I played the G-Men next offline(cpu) and couldn't touch Eli. I haven't seen any nano achievements. I usually get 1-2 sacks a game.

I've played about 25 full games and have only achieved the nano twice.

It really just involved pre snap movement that confuses the olinemen, or overloading the A gap.

Unless you time out the snap, you can't do this consistently whatsover. Its not unsim, or cheese.

I wish you were right but.....

I dont say that because I dont know what Im doing either. For all of Madden 09s flaws, the o-line in it BLEW the Madden 10 o-line out of the water. No way you were getting instant 2 second heat on someone every play unless you blitzed at least 5. Yeah, it sucked to play someone with 5 or more good nanos, but I always felt like there was a way I couldve blocked differently to prevent it.

The way it is right now the o-line is broken, and even tourney/hardcore type guys are saying the same thing.

I want a true pocket in Madden, but the offensive line A.I. just isnt good enough to do it yet IMO. The gaps in the middle are sooooooo huge.

Made even worse by the auto QB drop back. I hate sprint backwards passers as much as anyone, but Id rather deal with that than THIS.

Really? I think the best Madden 10 ballerz would disagree.
