    Dawkins#20 Year one Franchise

Right year one of my franchise was a lot about tweaking the sliders and finding a good set. I found sets at times and then had good games but then later blew teams out. Was 11 - 0 before I made some big tweaks and got thumped in three straight games. CPU rushing was overboard though. Finished the year 13 - 3 though.

Playoffs I had a first round bye and beat carolina 40 - 31. Steve smith had a huge game and burnt me a few times for TDs.

NFC championship game was brilliant though, best game i've had. So heres a run down.

I start first drive and drive downfield on a combo of good runs and dink and dunk passes. I get to inside the 10 and call a play action roll out pass. Disaster strikes I get pressured and hit ball comes lose and Dockett is stood underneath it and takes it all the way back for 6. 7-0.

I then get a TD on the next drive to tie the game, but on the ensuing kickoff Breaston takes it 95 yards for a TD. So cards go up 14-7 without using their offense at all.

My defense dominated this game though. On Arizona's first few offensive series they came out passing and I threw the Nickel and Dime looks at them and brought the heat with the front four.

Long story short my defense kept holding the Cards passing game back, Fitz hadn't made a catch until late in the 3rd. Boldin had 1 catch all game. But despite the domination by my D, the cards found points, 7 one a TD strike late in the 4th to larry.

So I basically had to keep driving and keep putting points up to make sure I secured the win, it was back and forth and a great game ending 38-31. Next game is against the Pats minus Randy Moss who was injured in the AFC championship game.

This is the first year that I have actually struggled in games, gone back and forth and felt more emotion in game. Not perfect but Madden 10 has its shining moments. Ps Extra point Pre superbowl was pretty good IMO.

Will possibly update with season stats, and NFC game & super bowl figures. Will also report on off season

No it was on custome sliders. I don't think the game is balanced on all madden in terms of realism. So using custom sliders i've managed to get some realism with difficulty

I am in the exact same boat as you. I'm in Week 13 right now in my Vikings Franchise, with a record of 11-1. I've started and restarted my franchise about 3 times now trying to find sliders that really fit. (I've now realized that if I just went to the main menu and save them that they would go into my franchise too) But anyways, I've tried Marino's sliders and those were way to easy, then I tried someone elses and got blown out by the Lions 35-0. Now I think I might have them where they need to be because at halftime the score is 14-13 Cardinals. Usually it'd be like 28-7 me.

I'm just going to have to restart this franchise again when they release the patch. The stats are messed up for DB's tackling. And I'm also sick and tired of the computer WR's running out of bounds when they have space to get the first down. I think the next thing I have to do is adjust the User INT's...too many DB's dropping INT's..probably 4 or 5 a game.
