Pretty much, the cpu players do the same. I've seen the cpu Lilja try and make bad breakout passes that I've been able to pick off. I do still think the cpu makes too many tape to tape passes at times, but I'd imagine being able to tweak the cpu passing slider in the full version should at least tone it down a bit. On the whole with regards to the CPU AI handling the puck Its much better than it is in 09 but could use further tweaking. At any rate it "feels" better than it did in 09. Especially with the addition of board play if the cpu is trying to play keep away in your defensive zone, pin and get that puck away. You have alot more defensive options available this year.

Re: NHL 10 Demo Impressions
I just checked the list for the UK and it is not there for the ps3.
Good morning. I hope your collective appetites have been sufficiently wet by all the announcements made at gamescom, I for one am personally very excited about the new additions coming to the PlayStation Network. Talking of wet, WET is one of four demos we have releasing on the store later today (did you see what [...]Comment

Re: NHL 10 Demo Impressions
Only if he lets you. I'd ask him before doing it, though.
I want live...
Uhm...so the impressions are really great. Glad to see Realm fallin' in love with it.
I have a question...I'm not gonna have Live for a week or so, but my neighbor has Live. I was wondering if I took MY hard drive over to his house, could I DL the demo onto my hard drive???It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

Re: NHL 10 Demo Impressions
I noticed my CPU defenders did a poor job of defending the cross crease passes, they seemed to react like they did in 09 despite what the blog videos showed. Gotta play a little more and see if this is really the case. Like someone else said they act weird in the neutral zone, constantly turning around when you dont let them carry over the blue line. They do this at least twice before trying to dump it if you have everything defended well. On a good note, CPU D did do a good job of pinching me as soon as I crossed the blue line on a lot of occasions causing turnovers that wouldn't have happened last year.
I noticed this in one of the newer gameplay videos. I think it was Littman scored on a cross crease while the D just stood there. I just hoped it was a lower difficulty. It will be disappointing if this is still there.

Re: NHL 10 Demo Impressions
Thank God they fixed the strategies to where you can change them during cutscenes and it actually apply those changes.
Love the board play and puck physics. I played NHL '09 more than any sports game in a long, long time, so I'm definitely pleased. I do wish they would have done more with presentation, but then-again, I've been begging for this from EA for years now. It looks and feels a lot like 09, but it definitely has improved.Scott Sanders

Re: NHL 10 Demo Impressions
The drop pass can be done in two different ways. Either release the left stick (so your player is gliding) and tap RB, or hold Vision Control (LT) and tap RB.
A face wash happens when you tap Y (not press) from behind a player, it should be easy to do post-whistle when everyone is standing still.Comment
