Gran Turismo 5 Hands-On Preview and Videos (CVG, VGChartz)

CVG has posted their hands-on preview of Gran Turismo 5 with video.

"We did, however, manage to get bumpers hanging off, doors swinging open and even got the bonnet to fly open. Dents covered the car, but again they were way too smooth - there's just not enough paint damage in there. Hopefully there'll be an option to set how sensitive your car is to crashing."

Another couple of videos, can be seen here at VGChartz.

Hmmm... watching the crash video - it did not seem to have the "umph" that you would expect from hitting the wall or the other car hammering into the back end of it as you would have hoped or expect for that matter. It may have been due to the player in the vid being on arcade level perhaps?

Yeah compared to the Forza 3 crash previews I've seen, there's not much damage. It still looks amazing!

So I wonder what it's like to drive in first person with the hood up?
