Madden 10, Games Scripted...?

I have played many games and I have felt that A LOT of them feel that they are scripted and you can not do anything since the outcome of the game is already decided even before it is over. Anyways i was just curious to how many of you out there feel that Madden 10 is scripted?

I don't think its scripted, but I think that Madden has catch up ai out the wazoo.

Yeah i feel the same. I do have games where it feels like a deserved win but then i have games where i fumble, throw a pick, get a penalty, and so on at the worse possible moment and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

Theres no way the game can be scripted its all about making the right plays at the right time and picking the right plays. I'm not saying you suck because I haven't played you but, football knowledge has a great advantage in this game.

You want scripted? Go play NCAA Football and watch as the Computer will go 1/10 passing for the whole first half and then miraculously right before halftime they complete 8/8 passes and score a touchdown in a minute -- that is called come back AI.

Scripted? Go play NCAA Football and watch as the quarterback for Texas will throw 27/30 for over 300 yards and beat you by a touchdown when you are Ohio State -- THAT is scripted.

Madden has it's issues but comeback AI and Robo QB are NOT one of them. Besides in the NFL it is a much more common scenario to see Tom Brady or Peyton Manning go 9/10 to start the game with a couple touchdowns -- but at least it's just an issue with zone coverage etc. The sliders in Madden help to eliminate a lot of issues.

Bad things can happen occasionally at the most inopportune time -- you remembering it is simply called selective memory. I'm sure there are other times that you got a lucky bounce your way but you just don't remember it.

If anything, Madden's issues are occasional breakdowns of coverage in the Flats by the CPU and issues with straight Zone coverages, but this has nothing to do with NCAA Football's issues.

I can dominate for 3.75 qtrs, but that last 3 minutes in the 4th qtr sees my guys get burnt, average rbs breaking 6 tackles, or a deep pass that goes through my dbs arms and hits the wr for a long td. Oh well.

If you dominated for 3.75 quarters then giving up a late touchdown should have no bearing on the game. Obviously if you are losing those games it is because you let the computer keep it close until the end... in other words -- you gave up what we call "a game winning drive."

It happens. To make a poll asking if developers pre-program a winner before each game is simply hilarious.

The AI is programmed to try and score touchdowns! Shocker! So if they score a late touchdown, it's because of an error you made.

Get me a replay like the one I saw in NCAA were the ball 'ghosts' through my defender for a catch and I will agree with you, but I have not seen any fishy comeback AI.

From what I gather, your basic wish is that the computer simply fold it up during the final two minutes of a game and not score because that is what simply seems 'fair.'

You say that there is programming for the computer to win, but you are asking that the computer be programmed not to be so good when they are losing?

Don't you see anything wrong with your logic?

Ummm that happens in real football too. Stupid Roger Craig fumble in the NFC championship vs the Giants back in the day.....that play is burned into my eyes.

I get the exact opposite result. Usually, the CPU plays great for a half or even 3 quarters. Then once it get's to the 4th the CPU play's like my Bama teams played in the 4th quarter under Mike Shula.

Very dissapointing because I prefer not, to win every single game.
