    automatic dropback

I understand why they did this and even though I don't like it I can live with it. The problem I have with it is why does it do it in shotgun? How often do you see a QB in shotgun do a 5 step drop? Never? Yesterday this auto drop back cost me a safety. I'm not saying to eliminate it completely (I wouldn't mind though since it's annoying) but can it be fixed to where it doesn't do it in shotgun.

I don't really follow what you're saying. QBs don't drop back in shotgun.

I haven't seen this. In fact, the auto drop back has never taken that long IMO.

No the OP is right on some plays. I have had a shotgun play where my QB drops back an additional 3 - 5 steps. Kinda confusing, but oh well. I can live with it

Exactly they don't, but in madden for some reason they do. I use the Seattle playbook and on some plays the QB drops back automatically. I'm not sure if its play specific or what, but I did get a safety thanks to the automatic drop back. I know it's not smart to run shotty inside your 3 yard line but with the nano blitzes and 3rd and long I felt it was the right thing to do. I didn't do any crazy audibles either it did the drop back animation on it's on.

The plays need to be pointed out so they can be fixed in a patch, the qb is not supposed to drop back in shotgun.

I'll look into it since I don't remember the specific play. I have a feeling it might be more than one tbh.

They don't? Obviously you dont watch Cutler then... Game right now against the Giants, Cutler drops back a few steps in shotgun everytime.

One thing is to take a few steps back another is to drop back like your under center (5-7 steps)
