Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?
They have reported that none of their home games have sold out for this year which will mean every one of their games will blackout. And they have to put a tarp over at least 10,000 of their seats. Owners are all about making money and whoever owns the team sure is losing tons of ticket sales for every game played. Thing is, this team is not a god awful team. They are 2 years removed from playing the Pats real well in the 2nd round of the playoffs and they have had some success over the years, especially right off the bat.
Will they be moving the team in the near future? I'm guessing yes. Probably to L.A.Tags: None -

Their fans suck.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -

Yeah they do, which is why I've never understood the obsession with getting yet another team to go to LA only to see them leave a few years later.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?
Oh no, say it ain't so! The most stylish team in the league?! Although, I no longer live in Jacksonville, so maybe it's a economic thing down there. But as far as football, the Jags have had some great players, and a good history. And we're all sad to see Fred Taylor go. But I think MJD might put some butts back in the seats! If not this year, hopefully next.
Go JAGS!Comment

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?
I hear they are building a new stadium in LA. They have to know something is in the works. Unless someone likes building stadiums for no reason. Not saying the Jags definitely are moving but something will happen and some team will play in that stadium.Comment

anyways the owner of the Jags sucks he dont bring any talent the team is solid but no stars and there location aint that great either but still the saying goes if u build something good you will see results.
on a side note i think vikes, jags, and even the colts could move on the rumors i have heard. out of all of them jags would make the most sense because theres already 2 other teams in florida.Miami Dolphins

The National Football League is not planning on expanding. However, the developers of the new stadium have claimed on their website that their tenant "will be an existing team that needs to move because they cannot build a new stadium or financially they are not successful in their current market.Texas A&M Aggies

You can't really judge the LA market too much on the Raiders experience because that was a sideshow almost from day one and they played in a stadium that was WAAAY too big even by NFL standards.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?
The Jags will not be moving. First they average more attendance than at least half of the other teams, look up the stat. The stadium is way too big for the market because of college football requirements. Second they have around 20 years left on the lease and to get out of it, there is a lot of money that would have to be paid.
The blackouts are because the team will not be buying any tickets. There are going to be plenty of blackouts this year around the league. Tampa already is giving tickets away, the team bought them, to avoid blackouts. San Diego is going to blackout most of their games. I'm sure there are plenty of other teams also.Comment

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?
TV money and revenue generation from having a team in arguably the 1st or 2nd biggest market in the country. LA fans are crappy BUT they're pretty damn good when the team is winning. The Rams had a long and glorious history in LA for the most part and would likely still be in the LA market if they either didn't move to Anaheim or got a new stadium sometime in the early '90s as Anaheim Stadium wasn't the greatest in football configuration.

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?
Florida just shouldn't even have sports teams. It's embarrassing the way they **** on the Marlins/Rays, I would kill to be able to watch a team with either of their talents.Comment

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?
I along with alot of other South Floridians would go to more Marlins games if it wasn't so damn hot. Baseball season in Florida is brutal weather wise. It's either a monsoon or hotter than a hooker in church. Once they move into their new stadium and the Fins get Joe Robbie/Pro Player/Dolphin/Landshark Stadium to themselves, I'll be going to Marlins games whenever I'm back in town.Comment
