Re: Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?
Isn't Tampa like all the way on the coast, and Orlando is like smack dab in the middle of the state? I think it's at least 90-120 minute drive, at least from what I remember as a kid driving from Disney to Busch Gardens.Comment

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?
The Rams and Raiders are more likely to move than the Jaguars. It has nothing to do with the amount of blackouts, a lot of teams in the NFL this year are having blackouts and trouble selling tickets just not the Jags.
No one mentions the Bucs giving away tickets for free, but the Jags don't sale tickets they're automatically moving to LA.
Hate to tell you but the 49ers, Vikings, Rams, and Raiders are more likely to move to LA due to the lack of new stadium support.Comment

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?
Ask Vic over on Jaguars.com is always fielding questions about blackouts, tarps, and tickets.
I’m not clairvoyant and I’m not going to attempt to guess at what the future holds, but I can tell you this: Empty seats are very, very bad. They are a major warning signal and they carry with them the unmistakable look of danger. This franchise was not founded on the premise of empty seats. If they stay empty too long, it would be a problem.Rose City 'Til I Die

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?
It's about an hour and a half. Tampa is on the east coast, Orlando is right in the middle. But that wouldn't be a bad idea to move them to Orlando...better market, you'd probably get better fans that would actually go to the games.Indianapolis Colts
Indiana Pacers
Indiana Hoosiers

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?
If you lived in LA, you would be too. There is way too much to do out here then watch a crappy product. Beach, mountains, and desert all within driving distance. The weather is good year round. No need to sit indoors all winter and watch TV when it is sunny and 70 degrees in December.
It is different here, that isn't to say that there isn't a market here, there is. Check out the Angel's, Dodger's, or Laker's attendance if you don't believe it. Don't expect a crappy run Raiders franchise in a crappy pro football stadium, in an unbelievably crappy part of town, to have huge success if they suck. The LA Coliseum was not a good stadium back in the 90's and is even worse now compared to the stadiums that exist.Last edited by choadler; 08-24-2009, 06:08 PM.Comment
