Beyond that stuff, two things I forgot to mention before. To my European peeps, it doesn't seem like you will get the 2K ticker or that stuff again. This isn't because 2K doesn't want to do it, but because Microsoft is not a fan of having content that is in a foreign language in other markets (ie English in a Euro country that doesn't speak English).

The other is online lobbies. There are still no online lobbies for ranked games -- 2K feels like this is just an easy way for the evil ranked lobby dwellers to prey on the weak opponents in there. However, there are lobbies for unranked games. Frankly I don't know why anyone would ever play ranked games -- the online world is filled with miscreants -- so I'm content with unranked lobbies. If you want to play people in 2K, find an opponent here on OS, then go play online -- this goes for any game in my mind. I despise randoms.

Man talk about an in depth read, so much info was covered in that article that I am lost for words. Although I had one question, not sure if it has been posted or anything but in association mode did they mention that they upgraded the trade logic of the AI, I don't remember seeing it in the write up. The reason I ask is because I have seen to many "X" team trades "Y" player for "Y" player from "X" team then later on the same trade is done again between the same 2 teams and repeats about 3 or 4 more times. Great write up chase thanks for the info.

The first is that your team grade will be terrible -- remember the grading system is based on how good a teammate you are not how good your individual stats are -- because you will get dinged for leaving your defensive assignment. The other reason is that not every pass will automatically make it to the cherry picker. If someone is trying to do those full-court passes there will be errant ones."

no ticker news, no draft combine in france /europe...damn when you pay 50$ we pay 50 euros and sure you know euros is > dollards nowadays...

As far as highlights in 2K10, does the game still show highlights after the quarters end in the game. And what about the halftime show? Does the game finally show highlights and breakdown of specific plays that happend during the first half? Also the end of game show, did they improve the Top3 plays of the game highlights? Also is there any play by play commentary during the highlight shows at halftime or end of game? The slide show thing has me kind of worried also. 2K can't take two steps forward then two steps back in the presentation. Highlights after quarters ended was great in 2K9.

Another quick question: Does the game feel truly feel more physical in the paint and is the contact better?

What is the arcade factor of the game? Can Kobe,Lebron still dunk on your whole team? When pressing the steal button does the defender still do that stupid animation of reaching in and flying all over the court? When Lebron or Kobe does any type of fake dribble move does the defender get sucked in to the animation making that defender on able to move even tho the user is manually controlling that said defender? Is it possible to charges called in the game or can Kobe and Lebron fly or me and tru me? The most important question is When you press left on the controller as a offensive player coming down court does the player go left responsively or does he takes his time and does is own little animation?

Great write up really enjoyed reading about the defense any video game company can make a bball game with just players running up and down the court and putting the ball in the hole but what separates do good games (2k8) from the bad games (2k9) is defense. Who ever has the better defense and less bull**** like guys dunking on my whole staff will get bought this year live 10 or 2k10. If not i guess it will be 2k8 again.

Have they made any tweaks to full court press/trap? In 2k9 teams could run full court press all game.

Have they finally fixed in-bounding the ball? In 2k9 defenders could still reach across the in-bounds line and knock the ball off the in-bounder for a turnover.
