Terrible Preview and I'm not just saying this because I'm a fan of the series, but because obviously the author has no hands on experience with the game. If he did, he most likely wouldn't base a negative off a video by IGN in which two players took turns one timing the puck to try and score on the default settings. Also he would know that even though the default controls may be buttons, 2K has pretty much adopted EA's beloved Skill Stick. The previous preview was much better written. I hope this wasn't done by one of the OS staff.

Totally uncalled for. The majority of the posters here are not complaining about the content of the game (or "how much better" EA is this year), just the content of the preview. Yes, there are a few fanboys around here but they'll always complain regardless of what gets posted. While 2k10 does have more controls akin to EA's game this year they do still have an element of dial a dekes as well. The comment you made didn't have to be said it all, it's said enough in the Madden forum to begin with. Its also got to be pretty difficult to write up a preview of a game that has had very little info released on it 3 weeks from release. I'm not saying its a very good preview mind you and it obviously could have been done better but to come in here and toss around the OS is an EA site bs was imo over the line.Comment

Yeah, and that's why I'm not up in arms about it. When the article states that it's getting some of its information from watching videos online, it's clear that it's not a full blown preview type deal. Just some pre-release highlights and lowlights.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Chase.... Problem is that there was soooo much more to highlight or go over. Venom did have good points in his 1st posts. But that was just poorly written and never should've been written. If they had played the game and then wrote what they felt was What's hot and Whats not then that would be totally different. However, to base this What's hot/not off a video that had one timers galore and " we have to hope in higher difficulty levels this will not be the case" a couple of developers insights that had some info with it is just not right.. I will be the first to admit not being happy with the amount of info we have gotten and will be the first to admit I wanted some videos attached to those developer insight to showcase what the text means, But the problem is again, How do you know those positives are hot or the negatives are not without really getting enough info to warrant that article.
Venom, I was upset that you bashed OS but thanks for the response... OS has never taken sides if they thought one company was better then the other.. They always give every game a fair shake!!! Thanks againComment

I hear where you're coming from, and it's certainly a fine line to walk. We wouldn't attach a preview to something unless we had hands-on or were on hand to look at the game. We just do these as a fun little way to stir up some more discussion as a game nears release. Yes!! very poor preview, more like a knock down on 2k hockey rather than an up-lift ,which is actually the case this yr (if you are informed)... and I'm a fan of both games. Not that it had to be said, but in this case it had to be said.
