I hear ya Philly totally, thats my only worry as well. Though with a focus on rewritting dynasty from the ground up and improving the trade logic, team personalities based on what level the're on, and adding all those cpu sliders in the first place, I can't imagine that they won't be effective in reducing the CPU's ability to rocket tape to tape passes all day.

One-timers -- I don't know of any tricks to make it work better other than holding Vision Control, next time I play I'll try to be more conscious of what I do and see if there's anything that might help.
Flip dumps -- Hold RB down for less time and you'll get less on the dump in. I'm looking at tuning this so that it goes over the boards less often when it is fully charged up.Comment

I actually was reffering to rebounds in front of the net as opposed to one timers. Does that make more sense? I often whiff when trying to bang rebounds home unless they bounce right on my stick which is rare.One-timers -- I don't know of any tricks to make it work better other than holding Vision Control, next time I play I'll try to be more conscious of what I do and see if there's anything that might help.

As for flip dumps, like I said even when I hold RB down for a long time I don't always get that super far flip dump, so I was curious if you knew exactly what I might have been doing to achieve it so I could find a way to avoid doing that in the future. Though it is promising that you might reconsider the length of the flip dump. The height is good though. The important thing is being able to dump it so that the defenseman can't easily pick up the puck and pass it off when it hits the ice.Comment

Re: NHL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (360)
The A.I. passing is as brutal as every other year, the tape to tape passing is too much. The puck never sits out on the ice, its always on someone's stick - almost magnetic. I thought there was supposed to be improved puck physics?Comment

Timing is everything. Once you know the timing you should be able to win at least half against the computer. I'm actually having an easier time winning draws this year than in 09 for whatever reason.
Anyways, you want to pull back on the right stick exactly as the puck hits the ice. A lot of people will try to anticipate when the refs arm moves and will do it too early - be patient. Once you see his arm move wait until he brings his arm down to drop the puck. Mess around with it some and you'll get the hang of it.Comment

I've notice that its actually different at times, sometimes I'll win draws right as the ref is dropping his arm, other times I'll win draws right as the puck hits the ice. Its almost a guessing game in itself and some element of chance.Timing is everything. Once you know the timing you should be able to win at least half against the computer. One thing I forgot to mention is that the one-timers seem to be much improved too.
I saw some guys flub on them, or have to re-calibrate after a pass wasn't in the wheel house. And the CPU barely relies on them. This was awesome to see.Comment

Hey you're the same dude posting in the teamxbox forums posting things like "FU EA". If you don't like the game and aren't interested in it thats cool but you don't have to try to convince everyone else not to buy it.Anyone who is looking at buying should read this article IN FULL

Personally I don't really mind the whole hockey shop thing but I wish the authentic looking hockey equipment gave your the same boosts as the crazy camo helmets and other silly looking equipment. So long as we can still unlock the equipment I don't see a problem with people not willing to play for endless hours to unlock the equipment being able to pay for it.
Money99 I also really like the one-timer effectiveness, it seems like you have to make a great pass to get it off right or else it will be intercepted or the shooter won't get everything on the shot.Comment
