This game was such a surprise. I was lucky to get 5 ypc in the preseason, that game I had over 10 ypc with Portis. I had 0 sacks, but it was the Giants, so I didn't care. They got me once. I hope this was just a fluke.

So you know, the first time I tried DB's sliders, I had a game just like this. It's just randomness in Madden Engine that sometimes crazy things happen, and I've had solid games since. I get sacks, too.

Give it a few games, they have been solid for me so far.

Drew, what I'll do because I started that Lions franchise and I still don't think we're quite there yet, and also to get on the same page with all the other folks are on, I'm going to start a fantasy draft team using the brand new updates. I figure this will be a fair medium for testing against teams, as with a serpentine draft - odds are the parity the NFL looks for so much with the salary cap will be there.

I'm going to make a new thread once I get my draft done, and link my posts here if needed just so my posts don't take up more space, plus that way I can document an entire season + for people to review how they might get easier, etc - without having to swim through 80 pages of your thread.

I'll send you a PM for the link when I post the other thread, and I'll also add it to my signature.

PS: I haven't looked yet, if the FG Power is at 50, I'll be playing at 51, just to document the difference and see any weirdness compared to the others, and I will be moving back to 13 minutes, I'd rather be a couple plays too high than a couple plays too low.

EDIT: I'll also be retaining the same penalty sliders I've been using (max, except for holding at 50, facemask at 75, and clipping at 65.) I still see too many interference calls uncalled at max, same with grounding and roughing.

I just had an epic game. I'm the Bengals of all teams, and I played the Browns and got completely dominated. I was confused. I thought Bengals had a much better team. But anyways, I just played vs Ravens and it came down to 43-36, game winning TD by Ochocinco with 35 secs left on the clock from 2 minute drill on their 30.

It was a very defensive game but of course offensive as well. But I didn't feel cheated with these sliders. They played a real game. DBs were shutting Coles down who had Fabian Washington guarding him. Maualuga was a beast in the game though. He got a tie breaking int for 6 on their goal line in the 4th quarter. Then they scored on a good hard drive with couple bombs, short passes and runs. Then Nduke or however you spell his name came up with another int to break that tie. But they scored again on me but mistakes on my part.

I like these sliders though. I've tried many and these are probably the best for me.

Agree 100%. Been using these sliders since last weekend and the games have been realistic. I have been blown out, neck and neck, and dominating against the right teams. The randomness is one reason I think many are having good success with different slider variations, but these are certainly the best I have tried and close to what I was testing before anyway. Great job.

I've tried these sliders for 2 games, and I cannot believe how EASY it makes the game. With the current Vikings roster, I beat Green Bay 48-3, and New England, 46-21.

I know I need to try a few more games before making a final determination, but is anyone else finding these sliders WAY too easy?

I am used to dominating on All Madden difficulty on the PS2 version, (just upgraded to PS3) so I may be above average skilled, but this seems way too easy for me..

Any thoughts?

Played my first game of my Browns franchise with these sliders.

Vikings 27
Browns (me) 21

dont let the score fool you, i wasnt close at all in this game. vikings had the ball for 40 mins in the game. it was 24-14 at the half and Peterson had 130 yards on 28 carries. i couldnt stop him until i changed my scheme in the second half... we exchanged 3 and outs all 3rd quarter, and in the 4th favre led a drive that ended in a fg and with about 1:30 left on the clock i went shotgun and connected with braylan edwards on a 30 yard td.

stats worth mentioning:

Jamal Lewis 28-97 yards
Adrian Peterson 39-159 yards

Brady Quinn 11-38 197 2td 1int
Brett Favre 29-40 301 3td 1int (returned the int for a td)

I sacked him twice and he sacked me once but had pressure on me the whole game, especially from my right side cause my line is TERRIBLE...

Not at all. It's obvious the game itself is "easy" for you, not the sliders in particular.

If you're really that good, you should start on the highest difficulty level and tweak from there.

I am going to try these sliders tonight because I have been playing with Marino's slider and when I tried another set on here I got beat like 60-20! So I need something in between and these look a little more mild than the last set I tried. One question I have though is, what is the purpose of 75 speed threshold setting and if I left it at 50 would it make a difference? I just don't understand what this slider does.

Yes, it would make a difference, the speed threshold is how much difference in speed there is between the player with the ball and the defender (i.e. an CB trying to chase down a WR). Lowering it will make the speed difference matter more which will cause more big plays for the most part, which is fine, if that's what you want.

Thoughts: I was very impressed with the CPU running game. Even though they only ran it aboout 15 times, it was almost always for a positive gain. Very effective especially considering the people that they had running the ball. So I am really looking forward to playing a team with a better RB.

My only disappointment was in the pass rush. There was only one total sack in the entire game, although there was lot's of pressure so I guess that is a nice trade off.

One other note, Brady suffered a career endering injury on a 4th quarter drive! It was the only sack of the game and he fractured a vertebrae on the play! How crazy is that.

If you want the rest of the stats let me know because this is just a partial list of them, I will post more after my next game.

There is one major malfunction i have seen with the game so far and its the kickers. On 50 the computer in one game kicked a 62 and a 64 yarder(No wind at all). Im the pats and I know Gostowski isn't the best kicker but i'm havin trouble even kickin 45+. I cant find a happy medium. Anyone have any suggestions for this issue i'm down. Ive tried everything with the sliders and cant come up with anything thats realistic. I know its not a terrible issue to have but its annoying. By the way Drew these are the best siders on this site and i've tried everybody's. Good Job!

I don't know that I'd save if someone like brady had a career ending injury. I know they happen in real life, but I think it's more fun if the stars I'm familiar with are players I face in the game

THE BEST DAMN SLIDERS PERIOD. thanks bro im actually having realistic scores now i think you saved the game for me. And any one else that wants to know DONT TRY anyone else's sliders because the rest are garbage...its not worth the time
