    It looks like the boys at EA are hard at work fixing some of the issues with NCAA 2010. In the following laundry list of fixes, you will find a number of tweaks and adjustments many of us have been looking for. It’s not a complete overhaul or anything, but the number of changes should make a significant impact on how we play and enjoy the game. These fixes, by the way, are for both the 360 and PS3, so whichever console you prefer, these updates apply to you. Here’s the list, compliments of Russ Kiniry at EA:

    Player Lock in Online Games will now move the camera behind the locked player (like Offline games)
    Greatly increased the quality of uploaded videos
    Fixed an issue with penalties on a change of possession in Overtime
    Fixed an issue where you would sometimes lose control of your player going offsides in no huddle situations
    Tuned holding chances on Field Goals and Extra Points
    Fixed a couple pass coverage issues with Wild Cat plays
    Tuned the chuck success chances to favor more neutral results. Wins and Losses are extreme and should occur less for both the offense and defense
    AI Tackle slider is now more effective
    Lead Blocking tweaks to fix some cases of pulling lineman ignoring defenders
    Fixed a few rare cases that would cause players in pursuit to run away from the ball carrier
    Tuned the CPU ball carrier to make some smarter choices
    Fixed a bug where the CPU would high step at inappropriate times
    Tuned player switching logic to give a more appropriate player
    Fixed an issue with Punts being spotted incorrectly when the punt went out of bounce
    Corrected an issue where pressing in man coverage would cause the CPU to throw the ball too early
    If the receiver caught a pass during a slip, rarely would he be ruled down after the catch (even if he got up before making the catch). This has been fixed.
    Fixed a bug where sometimes the clock would continue to run after hold on an extra point
    Forward pitches are now correctly tracked as passing and receiving yards for the players involved
    Receivers will now try and release to the appropriate side of the defender based on their route
    Fixed some problems that were causing defensive players to not always get back in time during hurry up plays
    Reduced the effect of the Run Block Slider on special teams plays
    Tuned how effective the slant route for running backs out of the backfield was
    Tuned how far away diving sacks will start from
    Fixed an online grieve with pausing the game
    Fixed a bug where using a TeamBuilder team as the away team would cause the team colors to be incorrect
    Fixed an issue where some Dynasty teams were only able to offer 15 scholarships. You will not have to restart your dynasty for this to take effect, the fix is for offline and online dynasties.
    Certain TeamBuilder teams were incorrectly being blocked by the profanity filter and showing up as XXXX, this has been corrected
    Fixed and issue where Punt was not the default selection on 4th down and punting distance
    Off-centered single digit jersey numbers are now centered correctly
    Fixed a crash in Custom Stadium Sounds when the list of files was too long
    TeamBuilder teams with & in the name can now be searched properly
    Fixed an issue where the “Online Dynasty Servers are Down” pop-up was showing up incorrectly
    Now, those of you who read the entire list might have noticed that there is no fix for the player progression in dynasty mode, nor is there a fix for the auto-sub issues many gamers are having

          Just played my first game with it and it's defintely noticable. AI running was more intelligent, switching def was better, defintely was all tweaked as advertised. Unfortunately, the things not addressed is the drawback. For what it is though, improvement in a game I already liked, honestly.

            In what may be a classic case of fixing one thing to break another... I had a CB jam my WR off the line and my WR literally flipped 180 degrees from one frame to the other and was running backwards, then had to do a full 180 in "real time" to turn back around and run his route. I hadn't seen that before today.

              Played a game after downloading the 2nd patch on default heisman.

              Gamne played a bit cleaner, CPu RB was more aggressive, and I noticed the CPu QB didnt drop back and just fling the ball, nearly as much.

                Cheats, things that should have been i the game that ea has the nerve to charge more. As if it's worth 60 dollars to begin with. Madden is just as bad for paying for D/L content.

                      It's a shame we are getting patches for what should already be complete for this game. Ohh well. . . new patch, new tweaked sliders, continued roster update d/l's. (scratching my head)Wait. . . Why was this game $60 again?

                        Good Grief! Why so dramatic? You could have just rented the game you know or bought it used or better yet - play something else.

                          what perfect games have you been playing that haven't needed patches? what makes NCAA so special that it should get more heat for using patches to fix problems? besides being a football game by EA.

                          people get too worked up over patches.

                              the biggest thing is that the CPU can actually have a good running game now, without the kickoffs being ridiculous. they don't "zig-zag" like they used to(at least not as much) and they make much smarter choices when cutting up the field.

                              running from shotgun is improved as well as any running play that had a pulling lineman. the run blocking all together is better post-patch.

                              if you ever or like to upload videos, the quality is a noticeably better.

                              a few no huddle bugs got fixed, like the defenders being too slow and ending up being offsides. now the defenses hurries like the offense. switching players on defense is now better, before when you switch players during a play, it sometimes switch to a player that it shouldn't of have.

                              the CPU doesn't just chuck the ball at the back of the WRs when you press their WRs, and the WRs release from those presses like they should(depending of their route), before i think they always released to the right, no matter what.

                              those are a few noticeable changes i saw. the full list of changes was posted here somewhere.
