Hey I kno most ppl will say he's a cover 2 DB but I'm here to vouch for my man...Ronde is a beast...All those yrs we were running the cover 2 it was only ran 30% to 40% of the time...Monte Kiffin once stated this in a interview..."We really only run C2 when we're up by a TD or 10pts...And I'm still wandering why Ronde has a Man Coverage Rating of 70...C'mon Donny...Just because he isn't the fastest DB out there doesn't me he cant cover man to man...If pass deflections are the standard for man coverage Ronde should be at the top of the dog pile...I kno his height and speed are knocks against him but give him between a 85-90 and I'm happy

Cromartie is 89 overall, and the worst starting corner in 2008. By yards allow, and completions allowed. Granted he did have a hip injury.

Its all perception.

People think Ronde is old, slow and Cover 2 corner.

Agreed...perception is everything but I'm trying to break that perception...I only have one statement bro...when you compare players use the older guys...young players dont have the stat line to compare...I'm talking 10yr NFL experience or more plz

INT stats do lie, just because he has a bunch of picks doesn't mean he is good at man coverage. His pics could have come while playing zone.

READ THE WHOLE THREAD BEFORE POSTING...I said nothing about ints...I said if PD-PASS DEFLECTIONS are the standard...then his man coverage rating should be higher

If you're vouching for Ronde Barber, I can vouch for Jeff Feagles who is 43 years old with a rating in the 60's. Jeff Feagles is still one of the best punters in the league and for the last 5 years, his rating has ALWAYS been below average.

Well just so you know, PD are NOT the standard for man coverage. You can still get PD in zone. The standard for man coverage is not being thrown at because you COVERED your MAN, hence the phrase man coverage.

Man you cant compare those two until Cromartie's career is over...Cromartie is off to a fast start tho cause he's been the starter since he got there 1st round pick...Ronde started out as a 3rd round pick...huge difference

So listing every guy's amount of INTs is not saying anything about INTs?

I understand that and that's where ppl label Ronde a zone DB...if anything when in man coverage Ronde will get thrown on because of his speed and height...but rarely will that happen
