At first I was glad EA chose teambuiler but now I would have preferred the FCS teams and conferences. I don't like that we can't make custom playbooks or mascots. But even worse is not being able to choose rivals and that the rivals don't work correctly, such as rival record is not updated, etc...

FCS vs. Teambuilder
Now that we have had a chance to use teambuiler in action; are you glad teambuiler was included or would you have preferred FCS teams with playable FCS conferences.

Re: FCS vs. Teambuilder
hands down teambuilder. Now that theyve added it this year they can just improve upon it more like allowing you to pick your rivals and some of the other stuff you mentioned. For a 1st year id say teambuilder was pretty successful. I dont even care about playing as FCS schools, i guess if they wanted to add them so you can play against them in dynasty thatd be cool but even that isnt really a big deal imo because the FCS schools suck big time when they create them. On the ps2 the RBs would have speed in like the 70s so even when you played them they were garbage.
Ive got a dynasty going with 12 teambuilder teams ive made. It keeps me wanting to play the game over and over and over again. Now they just need to allow us to add more than 12 teambuilder teams to a dynasty. That would make the extra slots worth it and id even be willing to pay a few bucks to get extra slots.Comment

Re: FCS vs. Teambuilder
FCS no doubt! I never was a fan on CAS. I always felt it was kiddie. And there are more pressing issue than Team Builder and the end results proved it. With the number of FBS schools playing FCS schools having them in would be useful to everybody unlike TB which is only useful for the people who like it.You looking at the Chair MAN!

FCS TEAMS hands down!!! CAS is fine but it lacks the realism that I am looking for. So yeah I make a team and put them in the FBS... but it's not real. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO PLAY FCS COMPETITION, NOT REPLACE FBS TEAMS!
Now, the sad reality... we will NEVER see FCS in this series again. Teambuiler is a convenient excuse to omit FBS and true colloge football fans should be outraged by this.Roar you Lions roar!Comment

Re: FCS vs. Teambuilder
What about the option to choose both? I say both like it used to be. I'm still playing NCAA 07 (PS2) because of its superior gameplay and am Alabama State. It has many FCS schools and you can create your own team (obviously not as in depth).
I say go back to old gen and bring both of them back (for free please). Even with crappy rosters, I'm sure people will dedicate themselves to create amazing FCS rosters. If they bring back FCS schools, its an instant buy next year.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Re: FCS vs. Teambuilder
definately fcs. teambuilder seemed awesome at first but i never really used it. its seems like too much effort when all i really wanted was to play as an fcs team"Never give up, never back down"

Re: FCS vs. Teambuilder
Team Builder has so much potential. There are a lot of issues with it, but I think it dwarfs the need for FCS teams in the game. Team Builder is bigger than what most people use it for. It's fantasy teams, throwback teams, FCS teams, high school teams and more accurate FBS teams. The concept could be a huge facet in the future of sports gaming. Because each team in Team Builder is independent of rosters and information, online communities can edit and update them individually.Comment

Re: FCS vs. Teambuilder
TeamBuilder.
FCS teams were a joke in the past, I don't get the obsession with them. The rosters were bogus and they had no talent. They were often way wrong and they were no fun to play against.
I'd much rather have the ability to use creativity and for the FCS people they can create their school.
The resources that would be needed for FCS are far too great to use one them.
Everyone has their opinion, and this is mine. I like the decision EA made.Comment

TB became useless to a whole group of people. It was like Mascout Match up. I dont mind doing the work myself but give us the option to add all(or a bunch) of FCS teams and to add more conferences. Then I can say TB is worth it.You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: FCS vs. Teambuilder
Initially i thought teambuilder was the way to go but I have changed my mind. I think a lot of people have been disappointed with teambuilders quirks and the way it interfaces with custome conferences, If we could create additional conferences it would be more fun, i would rather have FCS teams in there real conference as oppose to Maine in the Big East.
It would be cool to have FCS conferences and have FCS teams invited to FBS conferences if they did very well.
I guess what I am saying in a long winded way is that why initially I was stoked with teambuilder. I now finds it boring and don't want to import teams to my dynasty because of the glitches with rivals, attendance and recruiting pitches.Comment

Re: FCS vs. Teambuilder
Love teambuilder, and you can create your FCS school, create its rival, put them in the same conference and replace teams that are already rivals, wallah you have your correct correct rivals. Ie. create Appalachian State, create Western Carolina, put them both in the Sunbelt. Replace two already rival teams in the sunbelt. Or delete the whole conference and make a new FCS conference. Just takes a little thinking but there are ways to make it work. I do hope in the future though that EA allows you to replace the FCS east, north south west teams with a TB team. Not that they can be in a conference, but it would at least be fun to play a team with a logo.Comment

I would like to be able to use fcs created teams in the place of generic fcs teams and not have to swap them with real teams in fbs.Comment
