Kickoffs still drive me crazy in this game. The CPU knocks down at least half of my team every single time, sometimes more. Their last kickoff went for a TD and 15 guys were knocked down (many more than once), so annoying.

This is after you downloaded the patch? It was supposed to be fixed in the 2nd patch...

Yep, downloaded the patch this afternoon. I had to rewatch it several times because I just couldn't believe how many guys kept getting knocked down. One guy got knocked down 3 times, it was just bizarre.

I'm at around 5 guys on average getting knocked down when kicking off and I'm lucky if even 1 of their guys get knocked down on my returns. It's driving me insane because the CPU is getting to at least the 40 yard line every time they return a kick. It's so annoying.

Can you tell me what you have run blocking set to? That makes a big difference, although the patch was supposed to fix that.

Everything is set to default. I played against Ohio State, Virginia, and Florida State in my 3rd year of dynasty with Duke (B in everything). I've got plenty of highly rated players on special teams and they just get knocked down by everyone, it's crazy.

I'll play a game later and try to upload my kickoffs just to show how bizarre my kickoff experience has been. It was terrible before the patch, I had a game where the opposition returned 4 KOs for TDs and each time had double digit guys getting knocked over. It seems to better overall with the patch, but I'm still having problems with multiple guys (at least 5 every kickoff) getting knocked down on each kickoff.

And yes, it's entirely possible that I suck at the game, but it would seem like I would get lucky at least a few times without guys getting knocked all over the place.

I hope this doesn't become a frequent occurrence but I've had two separate instances in the same game where an interception resulted from solids phasing through another solid. First one, my receiver gets in front of the ball and it slips through his fingers, through his neck and into the DB's hands. Another one was a jump ball, my receiver had the extra step on the DB but as the ball was dropping into the WR's hands for a spectacular over the shoulder grab, the ghost DB caspers through him and snatches it while my receiver falls backwards like a grenade exploded in his face.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Patch Released For 360

As promised, here are the videos. The third video where the Miami guy takes it for a touchdown had 15 players get knocked down. Unfortunately because of the camera angle, you miss several of them while the Miami guy is running down field.

For the game, my team knocked down only 1 Miami player in a 41-38 win on kickoffs. Miami was well into the 30-40 range, maybe more as I only have the kickoffs up to the start of the 3rd quarter. But there were several more crazy instances of my guys getting knocked down. Now for the evidence of my terrible defenders getting bulldozed...

I'm not sure what to tell you about those kickoffs. I have run block for Human at 40 and 50 for CPU on Heisman, and I don't see that many knockdowns. I've even tried it at 65 and it didn't have that many knockdowns.

ok i don't have xbox live yet but was planning on getting it pretty soon and i'm just wondering if the patch helps at all with the super cpu qbs who get like 95% completions every single game, even against the A+ defenses?

agreed. it may be the way coverage is played. i always fall back with one player on my ko team and make tackle myself. i do see some kor's for td's for other team, but it is realistic with the way i covered downfield, as i can't trust my cpu coverage to make plays for me. Ironically i see more return kor's for td's for the team i use dynasty with.

i said what we have all thought at one time or another, but it was more a joke than anger of the game. i have played ea's ncaa football since it first came out and seen it evolve, but u all know like i do this date and time 360 version should not have this many misses that require patches like these. as consumers we need sound off and demand quality for these already over-priced games, we are the reason why they stay in business. make no mistake i will always play ea's ncaa year end and out, but how many patches will it take to get a complete game that every one of us in these forums want? jus my impression of the patch topic, that's all
