New Screenshots and GM Mode Video

Just click on the first blog post, and you will find both. The link to the screenshot gallery is about halfway down the page (30 new screens I think), and the GM Mode video is at the bottom of the post. I'm a sucker for new screenshots, so thought I'd share. The one of Martin Brodeur getting his water bottle knocked off is my favorite (near the end)..sorry Devils Fans

I couldn't help but notice that San Jose sent Jeremy Roenick to Carolina for Brandon Sutter. Carolina would never send a former 1st round pick for a guy with 1 year left and attitude problems. I hope that was just to show the process and in the real mode this wont ever happen

I'd kinda forgotten just how deep "Be a GM" mode is going to be.

I'm kind of torn between "Be a GM" and "Be a Pro". Not sure if I really have the time to get fully into both. But I think the GM mode will prove to be just too much fun and interesting to play. So I'll at least start off with that. Can't wait!

That trade was offered, but the pop-up box said "Congratulations! You have successfully offered a trade..." or something like that. Clement even says that it was only a practice offer. No need to panic... yet.

correct me if im wrong but wasn't the user SJ? so they proposed a trade offer to Carolina for Sutter. So in this tutorial you can offer the likes of Jeff Finger for Sidney Crosby and get the same message? it is just telling how the whole ordeal goes down

Pretty much, its just showing the user how to propose a trade within Be A GM mode. It then goes on to show the user how to use GM points to do staff upgrades.

That screeny of Oshie is SOOO bad. I know I've mentioned it before, but I'll definitely be making my own Oshie as I'm sure I could do better with even limited create-a-player options...sending the real one to Europe during the main menu.

So Thomas has been in the NHL for like 7 years now and just won the Vezina and he STILL doesn't have a real face? This is so frustrating. Even though you don't see his face unless he's a star of the game or during random cutscenes.

Very happy to see they got Krejci and Kessel's faces in the game (although his hair is red... and even though he won't be a Bruin). But no Wideman it looks like. Damn.

Thomas is a bad example though, while his face is somewhat generic, its actually not all that far off. Lucic looks pretty spot on from the close up Steve was nice enough to post for the screenshot #2 requests thread. I would imagine they'll resign Kessel, he's still listed on the roster on the official Bruins NHL site and after losing out on Eaves via wavers (still kinda ticked about that bone headed move) they need some extra fire power on the 2nd or 3rd line. Bergie has been spot on since 07, Savard and Chara are pretty spot on as well. While some of the blueliners and 3rd and 4th liners have generics some of them aren't all that bad in 09 imo. Wideman I agree though, way off.

They traded ward away to free up money to sign Derek Morris. Eaves cap hit was much lower than Ward's so they made the trade to get rid of salary.

I do hope Phil comes back though, as much as I think he can come off as a whiny kid at times, he's one hell of a scoring threat and god knows we need scoring if they plan on repeting the record they had last season.

Kessel's good, but the Bruins have so many guys that can put the puck in the net, that I'm sure they'd be ok if they couldn't work something out. Either way, you don't want to lose a guy like that, but didn't they have like 9 players with 20+ goals? or something ridiculous like that?
