well, there is firmware update (3.0) I am downloading it now, I will check the store for the DC and let you know.

I got the new firmware but I cannot sign in to the PSN. I guess it is busy I wouldn't get my hopes high though.

Wasn't it supposed to come on 3rd of September?

I doubt that the current system update is in any way connected to new releases at all. It does change the clock and the controller status bar, adds animated themes and some kind of "What's new" section which is pretty much a shortcut to the store's newest releases, but no "new" releases there...

Solid update, though.
