    Wasn't $60.00 bucks enough?

I just came from Pasta Padre's site and learned that the AFL jersey DLC will not be free and will have some added stuff to it. Now I know that there is a buisness to be ran but does that mean you alienate all the buyers of your products just so you can squeeze a little more cash out of them. I am truly dissapointed in this and I think it is starting to go too far.

Yes, because Madden is the first game ever to charge for DLC?

Wouldnt extra AFL jerseys be considered extra content?? Therefore why would you not expect to pay extra for said content??

I believe the implication from the Dev Blogs were that they would be free.

Actually they are milking you and me for something that was in the game for years. It's quite sad that you can't see this as a problem. I work for my money and so does my wife, and if they keep charging for every little thing than they can forget about my money. Yes they have a right to charge what they want, but this isn't like a map pack, or a new set of levels, this is basic stuff that was built into the games for years. They just now relized how much more they can get out of us.

Stuff like this shouldnt be DLC though. There are somethings I wouldnt mind paying extra for, but some of the stuff is ridiculous. Like that keep a player unretired thing. I want the ability to talk my players out of retirement...not force them to unretire using a cheat I had to pay for. This isnt Blitz...its a sim game, or at least its supposed to be.

I mean, where does it end? If our kicker kicks a ball into the stands, are we going to be required to purchase a new football before resuming play?

The thing is....you DON'T NEED the jerseys...you just want them, and you don't want to pay for them. If you don't want to pay for them, then don't download them.

It's not like they released the game without a football in it and you have to pay to use one in the game. People need to learn to separate their needs from their wants, and disappointment that they're assumptions didn't come true.

Interesting, when were the AFL jersesys in the game?

I know the Broncos AFL jersey has never been in.

So you want them to create new, fictional stadiums to offer as DLC?

You can't directly compare DLC from a first-person shooter to DLC from a sports game. Or, you can, but it makes no sense.

What you can do is compare Madden DLC to other sports games' DLC for a more accurate discussion.

Dude - they charge a fee to unlock Cheats that are already on the game DVD - do you really find them charging for uniforms via DLC shocking?

They are not "milking" me for money, if I want something that is not standard in the game and is extra content, then I have the choice to buy it or not. If you order a baked potato from a restuarant, you will pay "extra" for additional toppings for it, correct? How is this any different? Its called economics

Sadly, the microtransaction thing is the way of the future, apparently.

I've already thrown a couple hundred bucks at EA for Rock Band DLC.. what's a couple more for the AFL uniforms?

The damn things better be effing accurate though, or I will not be a happy camper.

Restaurants are a bad comparison. You see It comes down to your money and the fact that you dont spend yours you spend mommys. Economics in restaurant industries are much different you have delievery charges, electrical, gas, and product cost.those are your main reasons for cost innflation. At EA as with many other gaming companys they just need to sale the magic number. They have a good idea of cost going into the fight they just need the number of buyers to come through. DLC is becoming to abrassive. Your going to buy the game and then spend more to have what you want or for the complete product. I bought Madden 10 for 60 I didnt buy it just to get less than I was supposed to get nor am I paying for the Extras. Its sad that these are the times we're living in.

If you went to said store every year for 9 years and they gave you butter and sour cream toppings for free every time you went and then one day they have margarine and you asked for it and they decided they wanted to charge you 1/15 of the potatoe's price for the margarine but the butter and sour cream were free, you wouldn't be upset or question it?

you see what happened with FN4 right? People complained (as well they should have) about the 5 new (well, actually 3 new) boxers that were to be sold for $10... and EA lowered the price to what it should have been in the first place, $4.99. Even though they should be free too or at least cheaper than that imo.

No wonder they nickel and dime us to death because people don't even question it. They expect to be. That is sad. This is not a new feature or new map like halo, this is something that was supposed to be in the game since day one. It is a concept that has been pushed by the NFL, and since the AFL is getting a dedication week during the season this is something that should have been in the game, for free, from the get-go. I can understand charging us for a new stadium but for unis that should be in from the start? That's ridiculous.

How greedy can you get EA? Seriously. This is pathetic.
