So far what BBall game impressed you more. 2K10 or Live 10?

I've hopped off the live bandwagon since the release of NBA 2k8. 2K8 is my favorite BBall game of all-time after NBA Live 95. That game was awesome. 2K9 on the other hand was dissapointing. I felt I didn't have total control of my players.

After hearing about a lead gameplay designer who had a big role in 2K8 left for EA Sports, I noticed something different between 2K8 & 2K9 when it came to player control.

That aside EA's Live has impressed me alot more this year than 2K. The draft combine doesn't cut it for me. I need to see videos, info on gameplay, ect. I feel that 2K sports is putting too much emphasis on the draft combine in their previews when they should be telling us more about gameplay cause let's be honest 2K9 had alot of flaws.

This poll needs to be closed till we see trailers and game play of 2k, any answer towards 2k will be fanboyism. There is no info except print preview, and no the combine don't count....

Both companies have had equal amounts of time to get info out. Based on what I've seen so far, Live has been looking more impressive. Not to mention they should get credit for the way they executed their marketing plan this year.
The poll should continue through till more info is released by 2K just in case...
And if combine was apart of their marketing release, it counts.

Dudes can make all the excuses they want to but that marketing strategy is garbage.

Its not the marketing that sells their games, its always sold from word of mouth... Lots of games show things a year ahead of time, months ahead of time (not that sports games have to) but just show what you have and let people decide.

They are the number one selling game, and from what I heard, they do a nice job of balancing their marketing budget, so they have to be doing something right. The timing of their info release only pisses off hardcore fans, and all of those hardcore fans come running back when the demo drops anyway.

As far as what's more impressive? Silly question at this point. Personally, I don't like to give an opinion until I play a demo. Even if you like vids, 2k10 has shown next to nothing, and Live has not spoken much about their Franchise mode or Online play.

Sorry man, you know good and well they have some sorry marketing, which has nothing to do with the units sold. They are an established cmopany that got big off of hard work and more word of mouth than what they advertised.

At this point alot of people will pick up 2k off of reputation not off of marketing strategy...

yet and still this thread is too premature because noone knows much of anything about 2k10 right now

I'lll hold off until I see some sort of vids from 2K10. After watching the Live blogs and vids or shooting, player movement etc... I would say Live because that's all I've seen. If 2k had some sort of vids out then I could give my opinion. Until then...

Live has impressed me the most of what I have read so far and it seems to be the most improved game among both ... but that does not means that it would be the better one or the one that I will buy ...

I have been a 2k fan since 2k2 but as stated before by others, I also wont choose wich game to buy until I play the demos and until I see some tangible proof of what they are offering and improving ...

I would say that Live has definitely made the most year to year improvement between the two on the court (based on what little I've seen from 2K), but to me Live's gameplay is just on par with 2K8 in my opinion. It's a significant jump for them, but it just shows how far behind that franchise really was. I'm more than likely going with 2K10 for my NBA game this year, but may give NCAA 10 a look if they can make significant gameplay improvements as well.

The Only Logical answer is NBA Live 10. 2K10 has been a little too slow on releasing any type of info and that can kind of come off arrogant to B-Ball gamers just wanting to know what game to buy. And NBA Live has made some huge strides in the gameplay department as well as several other areas.

This is why EA has taken the exclusive licenses from all the other sports games for the most part is because they know how to not only market a game, but deliver a strong product (esp when there is competition). 2K is resting on its laurels that it has been #1 for so long...and NBA live just might come through and knock them off the throne.

Live has always had people hyped for their game, but when you get it ,well that's a different story.Truley i say they are the most improved,but can't say they're the best all around game. Compettion is tight this year,and that's a good thing.But as for me I lean to Gameplay,and that's 2K.Their Games just have been more solid.No disrespect to the Live Clan,yall did yall thing.Much Respect!!!!!
