In all seriousness, this could be some pretty bigs cuts tomorrow. Jeff Garica, Deion Branch and Jamal Lewis are all rumored to be "on the bubble".

So, tomorrow's going to be a very interesting day for us Madden/NFL fans!!

6 PM Esst Coast (3 PM west coast + AZ). They're talking about it on NFL Network right now (halftime of Vikes/Boys)

I think how long it takes depends on the players that make it. I doubt EA is making the roughly 900 players on the fringe (the bottom 30 out of the current 75 on each roster), so there will be guys who make a team that EA may not have expected whom they will have to research and create from scratch.

Then you have the teams adding players who were cut by other teams, leading to more cuts. Rosters probably won't be truly set 1-53 til Tuesday (Monday being a holiday)

I'd guess Thursday for the next roster update, depending.

If Sony can get all they got into The Show this past year for franchise mode, then I don't see why a practice squad for the NFL would be so hard. I admit to not knowing much about programming for a game, but come on.

well then, forget the "practice squad"...just allow for teams to have 61 man rosters and then like on a REAL nfl game day, you have to put your "active roster" together and make a bunch of them sit.

Why do we need a practice squad in the game? Really. I am a HUGE fan of the Giants..and I couldn't name 2 guys on their practice squad.

Then EA needs to change their motto, because it has never lived up to, "If it's in the game, it's in the game."

Practice squads are a big deal. Many times, teams have promising young players who simply don't make the team due to various reasons (depth, injury, etc...). It would be nice to be able to hold on to these players. For hardcore Franchise gamers like myself, having a practice squad just makes it that much better. By asking, "Why do we need a practice squad," you are asking a dumb question that has already been answered by many people -- if it's in the game, put it in the game. To a lot of us, it does matter.

I don't see how it would be too awful hard to get that into the game, but what do I know? After all, I keep buying EA's lackluster games...
