The only way you can see if there was truly a collision is if you look at a different angle. Don't assume because a ball goes by someone's personal space that it's deflected.

Let's just agree that part of the clip won't make it to the Live 10 commercial and move on.

Basically, it's also funny how the same issues bother people less when they are in other games. If it's an issue it should ruin every game for you right?

I saw that pass in the video and im sure alot of others did too...and practically noone had anything to say about it at all.

You wanna know why? Not because it wasnt there... because its a sequence in the game that people wont bother losing hair over. It happened fast and would be gone just as fast that it ruined nothing about what was going on

If it takes your scouring videos and slowing down pieces of a clip and ignoring all of the rest which there is ALOT more great than that, yes it is then really, its time to take a step back and re-evaluate videogaming.

              ...but like that other tihngs

Yeah. It's funny how much bull you have to take in when you play first person shooters. Insane things happen all the time (you can even get hit with couple of rounds into your head and you can still stand)... This year NBA games wont be completely real life but they will be awesome to play.

i was wondering wouldn't it be better if they would jus code it to call a kick ball if it touches a players leg instead of jus having it go through him

Yeah that'd be nice. Still gonna be times like this when it just will go thru your leg though. It just happens in games these days..

In 2K there are some kick balls when appropriate. IMO those kind of passes had a ridiculously high rate of success a couple years ago so that addition was necessary. Ultimately I'd have to play the game to decide if the frequency with which these things occur is high enough that i'd call for kick balls. Still, I'm all for more stoppages in these simulations, esp since foul numbers are still low.

you know I too have fallen victim to this, but aren't we just supposed to just play the game, at the end of the day why are people stressing so many negative things instead of looking at the the large amount of improvements made to the game. i mean no game is perfect some of the highest rated games in the industry have glitches wonky animations and so forth, so all this omg his leg is positioned wrong on the dunk, the ball went through the defender blah blah. Are you really going to be paying attention to that while you are trying to win the game, if these are reasons that you will lose the game then you probably will suck anyway. I understand that we want the perfect game but we also need to be civil in our approach because these are people who we are talking to about these issues and when the next version comes out we want to be involved with the process again as well. There coming here isn't really part of the hype machine as people will like to call it. they just want people 's thought's and are finally able to converse with us. and b4 anyone say's anything about what I have said or done read my first sentence. I wil be getting live because every video just about has answered every question that I have had. and by the way i'd just like to add OS is the best site ever to discuss anything, let's keep it that way.

I agree, though I do want to say that the devs came here because of the honest criticism and attention to detail. Ultimately its up to the devs to determine what is a nitpick and what is a real issue, and who would know better than them? The goal is to make the game as realistic as possible, so they can always get better.

I really don't see anyone stressing negatives and who said that the things they didn't like would upset them while playing? I think people could try to remove their assumptions and biases while reading others' posts. A troll is a troll is a troll is a troll, and they get dealt with. Still, I see people post honest criticisms and get jumped on because they didn't preface said criticisms with more positives.

Even with your post, in which you didn't say anything controversial, you felt the need to end it with "i'm getting Live" and "OS is a great community". That speaks to how hostile this forum has gotten.

Maybe we shouldn't assume that someone who posts a negative only saw negatives.

Maybe we shouldn't assume that said negative is a "dealbreaker" for that poster, or that they "won't be able to enjoy the game" while that negative is present.

Maybe we shouldn't take an honest criticism as a shot at Live. If its a problem in both games, then both games should look at it. Just because both games have a flaw doesn't mean you can't point out the flaw when you see it in Live.

Of course every criticism isn't an honest criticism, but why not look the posters track record instead of one post. I could only shake my head when I saw someone taking digs at Playmakers in this Live forum, a guy who by most accounts made past iterations enjoyable through his work on sliders. Yet he gets jumped on because of honest criticisms.

Maybe we should take posts at face value.

                          Maybe.

The double standards are getting more and more laughable.

The same few saying things that are being complained about "killed" games for them... are the same few saying it shouldn't be an issue and you should get used to it in gaming.

The sad thing is, I've been on that stance for a while, but it's nice to see the sudden change.

Looks like bball release season is going to be fun!

Operation Sports is NOT a website for you to bitch and moan about sports gaming.
That's not the meaning of constructive criticism.

Even though the game hasn't been released yet maybe their needs to be a Gripe thread for Live like there is for Madden, so that people can discuss their issues with the game without getting relentlessly attacked for not being 100% committed to the Live Positivity Train.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Yeah it's been a while since I've seen two sports games get this competitive (maybe since NFL 2k5 versus Madden 05). Can be a good thing as well as a bad thing - let's see how it plays out....
