    Trade Help please

I just did my draft in my 12 team standard scoring league. I had the 12th pick and I think my team ended up pretty nicely. I went very WR-heavy, so I am struggling at RB. My team looks like this

    QB- Aaron Rodgers, Matt Hasselback
RB- Larry Johnson, Jamal Lewis, Julius Jones, Donald Brown, Jamaal Charles
WR- Andre Johnson, Randy Moss, Dwayne Bowe, Chris Henry, Mark Clayton, Sidney Rice
    TE- Dallas Clark
    DEF- Vikings
    K- Jason Elam

Right now I am figuring that I will trade one of my WR's for RB help. I was offered this trade

    I trade:
    Randy Moss
    Jamal Lewis
    Chris Henry

    I receive:
    Ryan Grant
    Desean Jackson

I know Ryan Grant isn't a #1 fantasy RB , but I like him a lot this year, and the fact that I would be getting Desean would help offset losing Moss, because I think Desean is poised for a breakout season. Do you think I would be giving up too much along with Moss for these 2?

Also, my brother said I could get more, so should I hold out to see what somebody else offers me for Moss?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
    I love me some me....

    Re: Trade Help please

Please, please, please do not make that trade. That's highway robbery. With all the Fitz hype, many still consider Moss the best WR in the draft. You need to get more if you're willing to trade him, and personally I wouldn't be willing to in the first place.

You did pretty good considering you've got a shaky RB crew. They're capable. I don't think you need to make a move until sometime during the season. I'd watch Bowe, and if he comes out strong, that's the guy I'd shop... as well as Henry. Both are being drafted lower than their potential could put them after a couple of games.

I don't know how many WRs you can start (is it 3 standard, 3 with a potential flex spot, 2 with a potential flex spot?) or the bye weeks of the guys you have but considering your RBs you can probably cut some guys lose and get more security for your backs. At this point I'd say you could probably be good with just 4 WRs (may change as the season goes along but you can probably get by without Clayton or Rice and cutting both of them isn't a crazy idea anyway). Basically you're looking for security for your backs. I'd run immediately out and see if James Davis is out there, as he's Jamal's biggest competition and sure fire replacement. If he gets to play he'll produce. Next I'd pick up Edge if he's out there. He's behind Jones but if Jones doesn't produce, he'll be starting.

      Re: Trade Help please

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm definitely not doing this trade any more. I was going to draft James Davis late, but he got drafted before I had the chance. But I definitely think I am going to cut Sidney Rice and pick up Edge, just for insurance. I may try and trade for Steven Jackson, but we will see how that goes.

      Oh yea we start

      1 QB
      2 RB
      2 WR
      1 Flex (RB or WR)
      TE
      Def
      K

How about trying a WR trade for Davis. I'd go as high as Henry to hand cuff Jamal, but you may even be able to get Davis for less.
