franchise mode issue...

i notice that during player progressions all of the teams that were good last year (in 08) get more pregression points on there players then other teams... not thats not a big deal if it stayed consistent through the years in franchise mode... but it doesn't...

i have lost 1 game in my last 2 franchise seasons & won both superbowls only to see 4 of my guys get a few added AWR points & other misc adds... while the patriots, steelers, & other teams 3 years later are still getting +3/5 AWR points for every single player on the roster... & also getting + pts. for other categories on top of that...


has anyone else noticed this? this is a pathetic glitch that needs to be fixed ASAP

i'm constantly competing for SB's & winning them year in & year out but my guys don't get extra points like the 'good teams' do

i know signing certain coaches add players attribute points... but its becoming irritating to see the same powerhouse teams get rewarded more then mine even though i'm accomplishing more

oh btw... ive got 3000 yard rusher & 5500 yard passer with multiple 1000 yard WR's... consistently putting around 10 guys in the pro bowl annually...

so its not that my guys aren't achieving amazing goals...

any explanation to why this is happening?

sounds like you might need to increase the difficulty man. A 3000 yard rusher along with a 5000 yard passer is just ridiculous. As far as the progression goes i don't know. Seems to me like its a lot of preset things. My guys usually progress nicely even if they don't have great years, especially the young ones.

Name some of your players that aren't improving?

this is not about progression of players not improving... because they are for every team... just fine too... thats not the issue

the issue is attribute points awarded to players/teams & not others regardless of what those specific teams accomplish during the year...


for example... go to your roster management screen & look at the 'perennial playoff teams' rosters... pats, ravens, steelers, ect...

look at the added attribute points (in parenthesis) next to the players ratings... even if your team is doing good it will never equal those of the other good teams... unless you are using one of those good teams for your franchise...

basically the people who are not using 2008 playoff teams don't get the added attributes regardless of how well they perform

I always wonder why people bitch about the ratings not going up even though their players are still performing at a high level? If the players are able to play at their best, who cares what a number says?

AWR is a cpu only attribute as well.

WHAT?!?!

why would i upgrade the coaches when i'm winning SB's with them?

plus, i like my coaches... i like them in real life & i want them to be the coaches in my franchise too

if the game is going to reward teams player attributes based on coach progression then why am i still being punished for exceeding expectations for my team on a yearly basis...

so i'm pretty much forced to go get the coaches of these other teams just to get my team to receive added attribute points?

AWR is a cpu only attribute as well.

AWR was the one i used as an example... other attributes are being added that are not 'CPU only' as you would say...

& how does AWR not effect a human controller? considering i cant be 11 guys at once i'm sure it has a huge effect on user played games & not just simmed ones...

you are missing the point... this is a progressive glitch that is not rewarding specific teams no matter how well they are performing

its actually the only significant gripe i have about this game... everything else seems fine to me...

Well I mean if your guys are rushing for 3000 yards who cares what his ovr or other ratings are? Clearly you're getting ABOVE average numbers from him despite whatever the ratings are.

It's not a glitch. You apparently don't understand the mechanic behind progression. Because it doesn't work the way you want it to does not mean it's glitched.

I imagine, it's because the coach ratings as to why they aren't progressing as fast.

Progression based on perfomance is not the way it works this year. Thank God.
