pump fake issue is simple i rather have a player jump then him just standing looking stupid wondering where the ball is. i never found this a issue cause does a great job in contesting shots where it be jumping or just putting your hands up.

buzzer beaters is not a big deal to me but i can see the importance of it but its a low importance.

online lobbies are the worst thing to have in a online ranked game and I AM PROUD of 2k for saying NO to online lobbies. its promotes boosting, cheating, and people just hanging around lobbies picking there opponents. blind ranked matches are the way to go.
Agree. Thats what geeks do in mlb 09 is sit and bum hunt in the lobby. When i play online i just want to play i dont care if your record is 100 and 1 or 1 and 100 i expect to win regardless. If 2k can do something about the full court pressers, the steal button mashers, and the Lebron and Kobe whores im good ! It will be a smart move for them to not even show your record like 2k8 no rank nothing . After the game you find out you just beat number 1 ranked.

Ummmm........gotta disagree with you there partner...
      Hes a perfect example !!!

Ahmen!!! if i play a full court presser who presses me all quarter and i dont see gatorade bottle markers under all his players at the 1min mark the game is going back to where i rented it from not bought because i dont trust 2k anymore.

at least in the my player mode...why does awareness even matter if you're controlling the player the entire time?
Thats a good question, but they put that their if you decide to simulate your players career. That canned **** has got to go man.

The up and unders have been changed for the Combine. I have a feeling that steals will still be a problem online this year. That dreaded steal were the defender rides your back is still in the combine. Do us all a favor and take it out for 2k10.

If people didn't like them they didn't have to use them.

Why would they just scrap the entire lobby. It worked well for years.
A lot higher geek to real baller ratio online. Real ballers accept all challengers not just cherry pick the gamer that has lego indiana jones and halo on their 360 gamer card.

That steal animation always pulls your momentum forward. They should take out that animation and allow me as an offensive player to have control. They could add a variety of animations without sacrificing control. I do agree with you that a foul should be called, but I have more of a problem with the repetiton of the animation and the total loss of control.
LOL we think alike !!! That my bigest issue with that trash bball game. NO CONTROL !!! guy rides my back all the way up court no foul?! the game decides where i end up on the court. there is times you feel like your fighting the game like its possed or some ****. I can have clear path to the hoop and guy rides me from behind and turns my player completely around WTF!!! ign 8.5???

And I'm not talking lebron or kobe, I'm talking josh smith, rudy gay, gerald wallace, the high flyers. I play on hof, been playing 2k for 9 years now. I don't have any of those gripes. 2k9 was crack in the console. 2k10, having read the espn preview, is stunning. I suggest you guys read that article, online improvements, etc.
Trough 4 guys thats fun for you ??? its fun on nba street or nba jam not on a sim bball game bro.

hahaha...tell us how you REALLY feel And1! i hear ya buddy...you went off a lil bit, didn't you? i think we all want a more SIM game honestly...and 2K has constantly done a good job of giving that to us...perfect? NOPE. best hoops game going tho....

chuckle...i guess i wasn't the only one who was kinda confused with smoke4dayz (who only plays HOF apparently) talking about dunks...but who knows, maybe they're FEW and FAR between on that difficulty (which would be a good thing) either that or the rest of us are just totally UNWORTHY...

                    we salute you even-the-highest-difficulty-is-a-piece-of-cake-guy!

on another note, my "NBA 2K Top 20 List" drops soon...so don't change that DIAL, guys..

                      great article.
although i must admit i disagree that it is "nothing short of a masterpiece" bit, true it is the best basketball simulation game out, but there are a few minor as well as major adjustments that need to be made to bring it to the next level

All that is cool what you saying but I'm more into the gameplay and that could use a lot of improvement. Like the interior scoring when there is a shot blocker in there you might as well chalk up 4 or 5 blocks for that player. The use of the shot stick is useless I thought the way you press the shot stick the type of layup you suppose to shot. Example: If Tim Duncan is on the right side of the goal and I hit the hit stick to the left it would avoid a block attempt bc I'm guarding the ball with the rim. No, but in 2k9 it was like a magnic they made you go to the side the shot blocker is on!!! Ball handling, exploit passing down the middle, the spin move and hesitation dribble where gliches I saw that needed approvement. 2k has always been the better game but things like this has given NBA Live a fighting chance to come back from their 14 yrs disappearance! The pump fake was cool with me I thought they stole the ball to much depending on the team you played (Boston,Lakers, Spurs...etc) but when you finally get somebody in the air it takes you 15 mins to move by that time the defender is back in place and 75% of the time results in a charge! Those things along with what you said as far as the gameplay are the main concerns that would make 2k undeniably the best basketball game to play. P.S. NBA Live makers interductions with Dwight Howard doing the superman and signature handles that doesn't shake the man in the trailers are gonna cut it!!! LOL

Dont get me wrong 2k makes the best bball games hands down but they really let me dont with that fake bball game called nba 2k9. Whats scary is Mike wang left that year to work on live and all of a sudden im left with a ****ty bball game. I just hope 2k10 is not 2k09.5. I hate EA and have not played live since 1995 but Mike Wang is doing big things this year with live 10 if it plays as good as it looks its a rap!!!
