Re: TNKNGM Sliders (VERY SLOW)

After a a tight half of a 1st qtr all hell broke loose...Cowboys 62 Eagles 49.

It was 45-14 at half. The 3rd qtr had the Eagles scoring two long plays, one a run and the other a pass by my mistake of hitting the wrong button. So it's tough to say if they really would have scored, but they did so I'm reporting it.

The running game just seems at times to be so overpowering. Trucking out of tackles at times can lead to 3 or 4 broken tackles. Unless the D calls a run blitz and stops me in the backfield I felt like I could possibly break something at any moment.

The flats and passing plays to RB's are ridiculously wide open most of the times too.

On defense thier were times when my guys were flying to the ball and others when Philly players were wide open but this could have been because of the playcalling and nothing more. McNabb was tucking and running like a madman so I had to spy him and left people open.

Here are the stats.

COWBOYS/EAGLES

Total Offense - 647/703
Rushing O - 237/157
Passing Yards - 410/546 (McNabb broke personal record, I was pissed!)
First Downs - 15/21
Kick Return - 180/222
Turn Overs - 0/3
Penalties - 5-70/ 1-10
T.O.P. - 30:18 / 29:42

PASSING
McNabb - 113.1 - 34/54/560 - 5tds
Romo - 131.3 - 17/27/410 - 2 tds

RUNNING
Barber 15/171/ 3tds
Westbrook 9/87/ 1td
McNabb 12/70/ 1td

RECEIVING
Desean Jackson 8/217/ 1 td
Westbrook 6/63/ 1 td
Barber 4/260/ 2tds (2 long screen plays where Barber made the D look silly...sigh)
Witten 3/24

KICK RETURNS
Austin 4/179/ 92 td and another that was called back because of a clipping penalty
Demps 7/191

Obviously not your classic Cowboys/Eagles game. These sliders definately need some work for me to continue with them. Things feel like they're going in the right direction, they just need some tweaking on the defensive side of the ball. Guys with lower tackle ratings have NO CHANCE and GET OWNED. Period. No check that, more like abused! Not the case with your stud players.

As far as my stick skills, I'm an older player (40)that's played Madden since the Genesis days. I also played ball so I have some knowledge on how to attack teams on both sides of the ball. While I don't have some of the stick skills that some of these younger video game freak ballers, I can hold my own IMHO. Hopefully we can find some balance here, because I love how the game is playing out of very slow speed.

Peace
