Since the game has already arrived at some stores that I know of for sure, I figured that some people would have scored early copies already. I MIGHT be getting it by this weekend, but I'm not sure yet.

I can confirm that it has arrived in at least some stores. I was at Future Shop today at Dundas Square in Toronto returning something and the Fed Ex guy came with a bunch of boxes (maybe ten long cardboard boxes). One of the managers received them at the counter and then got tied up on the phone. One of the CSR's actually opened one of the boxes (completely ignoring the "Street Dated...do not rent or sell before 9/15/09) and then closed it up again. It was clear what was inside.

So it's definitely in stores now. Happy hunting.

Bummer. I actually have 2 XBOX's. So when I get the RROD I have a backup while my main one is being repaired. That's how bad its gotten. I've had the RROD 4 times.

The store near me should get it soon, and they said they'd call me when they got it so I can get it early. Hopefully they get it soon.

Speaking of RROD. Mine got the rings a month ago before I went off to Europe. 2 weeks after the RROD showed up my room mate towel tricked my xbox and got it running again. It has been like 2 and a half weeks since the towel was used and the xbox is still working. My questions are:

A) How much longer do you all think I have before the towel trick fix can't hold anymore

B) Will microsoft repair an xbox that has been opened up before for cleaning? (and yes I am aware that the warranty is void because the decal has been split but this xbox is from release anyway so I'm waaaay out of warranty.)

A) No real answer here, my worked for a week after the towel trick

B) YES - mine had been opened by me to clean it at one point. I believe they just toss your 360 aside and then ship you a refurb.

I'd be willing to wager its on rookie with most likely jacked up slider settings. Its almost as if he's going out of his way to try and glitch the game up.

I believe they are 09 videos. Pretty sure if you click on them they say 09

Good eye ezio you're right. Though now knowing that some already have it, I may pay gamestop a visit today and see if I can get em to break the street date.
