I liked the results, but I'm not a fan of the faster game speed. I'll see if they pretty much play and feel the same on slow.

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
Here's an update on the Redskins season I'm running in franchise mode using the newest coach mode sliders. My only change has been to lower CPU INT to 0 to match the human setting. I am using random play calls on both offense and defense based on the ask madden selections. Injuries are turned off to be sure my key guys get their 16 games in just as they did last year so I can compare stats more fairly. My fatigue is at 70 and I'm using somebody's auto-sub settings..don't recall who. You can see my original stat post 2 or 3 pages prior to this one. That post had the stats after 4 games. I've currently completed 8 games, so I'm half way through the season. My current record is 5-3

Looking pretty good. Campbell finished last year with 13 TD and 6 INT, so he is almost exactly at that through only half the season. Speaking of interceptions, as you can see I'm getting a lot of them and too many are going back for 6. That's probably why I have a 5-3 record despite being out-gained by the opposition both through the air and on the ground. Not much I can do about this though, the INT slider is already at 0.
The CPU is still running the ball down my throat, but look at who I've had to face through 7 of my first 8 games (Jacobs, S. Jackson, D. Ward, Deangelo Williams, Larry Johnson, Westbrook, and Turner).
Since I've implemented the house rule to prevent the HB slip screen call from coming up all the time Portis' receiving numbers have started to fall more in line. Since my report through my fourth game he has only added 6 more catches.
I probably won't check back in with stats until after the final game, but there you have it half-way through the season.Comment

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
Bill, I tried these sliders on the PS3 and they don't work at all. There's a huge difference between the 360 and PS3 and I can't point my finger to it. I know one thing for sure, M10 sucks on the PS3 compared to 360. What's the deal, why is the game different with your sliders on the PS3? Oh, and it seems really slow on fast with threshold at 70. Speed is slower on PS3 then 360.Comment

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
Not necessarily, you can do as they are doing in dfos' thread and lower the offensive aggression. This does reduce ints! I use these coaching sliders and I am having great gamesComment

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
Not sure I agree with this, I have the PS3 version and have used these sliders with a large deal of success. Admittedly can't say I have played the 360 version however.Bill, I tried these sliders on the PS3 and they don't work at all. That's a pretty good TD:INT ratio for Campbell. Maybe kicking the CPU INT slider up to like 2 or 3 might get him closer to the 2:1 he had last year. (He was about 1:1 the year before). Not that you couldn't consider him slightly improved under your playcalling
Rushing
Portis-147 attempts, 610 yards, 4.1avg, 76.2 avg/game, 4TD, 29BTK, Long-60
1200 & 8TD is nice for Portis. He has averaged about 1300 & 10 the last two years. Nice to see his avg up a little bit too.
Betts-57 attempts, 146 yards, 2.5avg, 18.2 avg/game, 10BTK, Long-18
Receiving(I am not listing every single player who caught a pass, just the notables)
S. Moss-33 for 571, 4TD

Yoder-10 for 127, 3TD
Randle El-10 for 107
41 for 400 and 2 TD is much better than the rate he was going before and that's including the padded stats from the first 4 games you played. Approx. 35 for 300 and 0 TD is what he had the last two years.
Defense:
Just the notables:
Haynesworth-4 sacks
Griffin-3 sacks
Daniels-2 sacks
Golston-1 sack
Rogers-1 sack, 2 INT
Smoot-3INT
Horton-2INT
McIntosh-2INT

Carter-1INT
8 sacks for Haynesworth would be nice. I don't have a problem with the sack numbers on these sliders I just think the game is messed up with the distribution. Too many line sacks and not enough for the LBs especially in 3-4. And then it seems like they all come from the offensive right too.
Looking pretty good. Campbell finished last year with 13 TD and 6 INT, so he is almost exactly at that through only half the season. Speaking of interceptions, as you can see I'm getting a lot of them and too many are going back for 6. If my guys picks the QB in one of those situations I take control of him and run him without turbo. I have still made it for the TD because of BTKs or just being that far ahead, but it at least gives the defense a shot at catching me.
The CPU is still running the ball down my throat, but look at who I've had to face through 7 of my first 8 games (Jacobs, S. Jackson, D. Ward, Deangelo Williams, Larry Johnson, Westbrook, and Turner).

Enjoy the rest of your season.

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
Gonna have to disagree with the PS3 sliders not working part as well. Both slider sets get me good games, but I am especially happy with the coach mode set. Can't speak to the speed/play diff on XBOX either though since I don't have one.Bill, I tried these sliders on the PS3 and they don't work at all. Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
How are the stats for sacks with these sliders? Im trying to find some sliders where the my D line can sack the QB without me playing as them.
I like playing as the Safety, and the CPU seems to get rid of the ball before my dline gets to them if Im not playing as my D line man.Comment

I'm getting plenty of sacks from my non-controlled d-line using the coach mode sliders. The problem is that's about the only place the sacks are coming from. How are the stats for sacks with these sliders? Im trying to find some sliders where the my D line can sack the QB without me playing as them.

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
can someone please tell me what the setting are for INT'S for play sliders?
bit confusing on the first post.
these were the latest changes made below but on the actual sliders there down as 20 for Hum?
9-6 Human and CPU INT sliders were reversed (sorry) in "Play" sliders. Human INT should be 0, CPU INT should be 20.
Also I'd like to thank Bill for these sliders..I uasually spend a couple of months trying to find good ones :wink:Last edited by subzero27; 09-09-2009, 04:45 PM.Comment

budsticky, thanks again for these stats--they're a great help.

I saw in Ian's notes about the first patch that they're going to raise the pursuit rating of offensive players by 15-20 points in the next roster update to fix that pick six for TD problem.
I'm really pleased with the coach sliders. The play sliders, not as much, because it's impossible to adjust for the different ways people play.Comment

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
The correct settings are 0 for Human, 20 for CPU. That gap is to put more pressure on the Human QB to make good reads. If they don't, they'll get picked off (and man, I got crushed last night because of that).can someone please tell me what the setting are for INT'S for play sliders?

Guys, I'm going to stop testing sliders until the patch comes out, because the changes will affect the balance of the game. And I'll probably rebalance coach mode first.Comment
