Check my blog to see how PIT vs. MIN ended up.

I'm sorry about the connection issues, Dan. That's the breaks I guess. Not much I can do.

I'm jacked about patch 1! Gimme those 7 min. Q's and pursuit fixes!

To Phobia: what do you mean about the way the pursuit angles fix is being implemented? Are you saying that it's tied to the latest roster update? A future roster update? That sounds very confusing to me, so fill us all in if you can.

To all: given that we know they're patching FG/XP holding calls and flats issues, do we want to make any suggestions game play wise, or just continue on our present course?

I'm okay either way, though I would like to see HB as leading receivers on only 1-2 teams like the Eagles or the Bears or some such situation. I think HB and FB are definitely getting a lot of love from user owners.

        Just a topic for discussion.

Ian Cummings video blog today stated to help with the offensive player pursuit issues on interceptions that they raised the pursuit rating for offensive players by 10-20 points and that should help slow down all the pick sixes due to poor cpu AI. So since the fix is based on ratings it really doesn't help an already started franchise. Sorry I am answering for Phobia, at least I assume that is what he means?

I think it is safe to assume that is what he meant.

One thing that I'd like to ask anyone here who might know:
Can you pumpfake, and if so, how? I have yet to figure this out, and it is a useful tool I used all the time in APF.

Ya its the RB. Each time I go back and play NCAA I end up throwing the ball away because that is the throw away button on Ncaa and everytime I havn't played allpro in awhile I end up pump faking the whole first drive because they actually have realistic throw release times and I get impatient thinking the game isn't going to throw the ball (double tapping). I actually love the double tap method.

The "Online franchise has ISSUES" thread linked me to a really cool greasemonkey script that allows you to see team stats. I'll be posting some of these numbers in my midseason report.

You'd just need to install the greasemonkey addon to firefox, activate the script and voila it is listed on the website under "schedule".

                  Very nice!

Here's a couple of big time week 8 matchups:

                  Falcons (BadVibes) 4-2
                  at
                  Saints (Tombsong) 6-0

Atlanta is coming off a thrasing of a very talented Dallas team. I'm interested to see if the super Saints can stop Turner the Burner at ALL! Atlanta is averaging over 150 rushing yards per game so far this season.

Prediction: Atlanta 24 New Orleans 28

                  Vikings (DJ) 5-2
                  at
                  Packers (Grunt) 5-1

The Vikes look poised to rebound after a stinging loss in week 7. Grunt hasn't lost a game that he's coached yet this season. I think the Pack get pushed around a bit in this one as DJ will stick to the ground game.

                  Prediction: Vikings: 21 Packers 16

                  Broncos (Weeman) 4-2
                  at
                  Ravens (Bayern) 3-3

I think this game is going to be one of the most physical games of the season. Baltimore is giving up less than 40 yards per game on the ground this season and less than 200 per game total. Denver is giving up less than 10 points per game, and Baltimore less than 12. Expect big hits, and turnovers deciding the game, not sustained drives. Field position.

                  Prediction: Denver: 7 Baltimore 13

                  Raiders (Commish AW) 4-3
                  at
                  Chargers (Well Well) 5-1

Oakland has one of the league's top turnover ratios at +9 and San Diego is one of the better teams sitting at +6 too. Oakland has forced 17 turnovers on the season, but can be exposed if San Diego sticks to the ground game. Oakland will need to call a perfect game on offense to put up more than a touchdown or two. Outside of a game changing turnover for Oakland, I expect San Diego to win by 2 scores.

Prediction: Oakland 13 San Diego 27

Re: ACQB M10 Franchise Game Discussion/Ish-Talking Thread

Did Phobia have something come up today? I see we haven't got our last game knocked out and I know Paniro's been on all evening.

So there's no confusion in the future, I think we should set up a time schedule as well. If there is a game that hasn't been played or setup in the thread, the default time should be something like 9:00 PM EST on Wednesday/Saturday. If one person doesn't show up by 9:15, Autumn should just temporarily boot them out of the league so their opponent can play the computer. If both haven't shown up by that time, Autumn can just advance the week. Just a suggestion...

I don't know, I like the way it works now. Putting people down to one time for each wk of games seems unnecessarily restricting. I think we should just stick with our normal schedule and boot people temporarily when they don't get them in on time (and give them one of these)

I messaged Phobia, who was playing NCAA online dynasty at the time and told him to knock the game out.

If it's not done by the time I get up in the morning (which will be early), I'll do the temporary boot and let Paniro play at his earliest convenience.

We've really done a good job with getting the games in, and I'm inclined to allow Phobia a little bit of leeway here, but we will effectively advance "on time" if I do it as soon as I get up.

If folks want a hard and fast advance time, I can certainly do that. Speak up if that's your wish. Pappy, your vote has been counted in the affirmative.

What I'm talking about applies to games that haven't already been played by Wednesday or Saturday night. We have several days to get our games in. Unless two people have scheduled a late night session, the chances of them playing at 10:00 or 11:00 PM aren't very good. I feel that making a 9:15 EST deadline to be in the lobby would keep people from having to wait around for their opponents and hoping that they show up sometime before midnight.

Yesterday Paniro tried to schedule something in the thread but Phobia said he had some things to do. Today Paniro has been online since around 6 or 7 and hasn't signed off. Is it fair to him if the game is simmed and he takes a loss when he's been around to play? Having a deadline would eliminate that type of thing from happening.

I know stuff comes up in our lives all the time. If I have **** to do and I don't make it by the deadline I wouldn't be mad if my game was advanced. I doubt too many others would either, but maybe I'm wrong?

                              Lol @ 9:15 Central. I'm more inclined to 9:23, but whatever .

Well, I certainly wouldn't sim the game; the less visible party would get the boot and the other guy could play. The only user game I simmed was a total accident and isn't part of my admin repertoire normally.

I'll go ahead and remove Phobia tonight and send an invite to rejoin tomorrow. If Paniro wants to play tonight, he can; if not, he can play tomorrow and we'll advance ASAP.

We'll say in the future that advance times will be 9:00 Central on Wednesday and noon on Saturday. If there are objections, please let me know now. If this carries, I'll post in the first post of the logistics thread for reference.
