Re: Madden NFL 10 Announces AFL Legacy Pack, Screenshots and Video Available
I do not hate EA. I just don't understand the love for a company that is treating their customers like they do.
The thread didn't get closed/locked because of comments about the DLC it got closed because people were personally attacking others about things totally unrelated to the DLC.
If I can't voice my opinion and replies to comments on my opinion in an online sports video game forum then I don't see what the point of even having the forum is if each post has to be worship of EA.
I was actually helping the guy out since he said he would like to play with classic rosters and jerseys in an NBA game. I simply pointed him in the right direction. The fact that I am getting yelled at by you for that is pretty ridiculous.
Yelled at by me? LOL - Please. I couldn't be less combative and more polite in my response. You go "above and beyond" just voicing your opinion...and it's getting repetitive. You have made your point. And quite frankly - you are foolish if you think that telling a member to adjust the tint on their TV to get the same effect of the DLC is helpful. Your not pointing anyone in the right direction - it comes off as being a smart @$$.
Your comments and objections have been duly noted (again). Is there anything else?Comment

I don't know the definitive answer but I can't imagine it NOT being made available. Especially since this DLC first appeared on the European PSN store (by accident).Comment

I really don't see the point in coming in here and bashing EA. You can call me a fanboy or whatever you want, but the fact is the DLC costs money, which some people are obviously opposed to paying. All I have to say to them, is simply don't buy it and move on with your life. No reason to stir up arguments that lead to no where but sore egos and tension between members. It's ridiculous, really.
And just in case you were wondering, yes, I'll be buying the DLC.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Announces AFL Legacy Pack, Screenshots and Video Available
what you guys don't realize is that by voicing our opinions of disgust with this price that EA can and WILL change the price to adjust to the market for the product. This has been done already with the FN4 boxers (lowered from 10 for 5 boxers to 5 dollars) and imo should be done with this package. If this was $2-3 I wouldn't be so opposed to it but $7 for uniforms and a filter is just too much, I don't know how anyone could agree that that is a just price for the content provided. You are paying more than 10% of the original value of the game for an add on that, truth be told, does not change the game enough to warrant that price. It may only by $7 but to say that is just succombing to the vulture that is EA.I really don't see the point in coming in here and bashing EA. So you can hate on the people voicing their displeasure and claim that it means nothing but these same voices got the FN4 DLC slashed 50%...
just something to think aboutComment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Announces AFL Legacy Pack, Screenshots and Video Available
That's another thing people must not realize. By praising EA for this you are just allowing them to charge for more and provide us with less year after year.
If they made a product that didn't have the same glitches year after year and undelivered promises then a DLC like this might not receive such backlash. But to charge the price they are for the content involved is ludicrous.Comment

And its funny you say you hate the car argument cause I bet you didnt hate it when it was used to describe why Madden isnt worth $60.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Announces AFL Legacy Pack, Screenshots and Video Available
Most of the people complaining don't even seem to want the DLC anyways, regardless of what it's priced at. They're only happy if something is free, which is a totally unrealistic expectation. If you don't plan on buying the item, and you don't really even want it, then don't complain. Just move on.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10: AFL Legacy Pack DLC Details
As a 360 owner, you must pay more money than the DLC just to have enough points. To those saying you don't have to buy it, Updated rosters aren't required. Now suppose EA decides to charge people for that. Are you just going to accept that?Last edited by Phixius; 09-10-2009, 03:39 PM.Comment

That's not really what I see. Nobody thinks they should be "free". They should be included in the game that you already paid for. Most of the people complaining don't even seem to want the DLC anyways, regardless of what it's priced at. Do I want the DLC? Sure, more uniforms are cool. But is it worth more than what was already paid? I don't think so.
Just think of the opposers as lobbying for preventative reasons. If this is successful, why wouldn't EA charge for draft classes, superstar mode, importing NCAA players, playoff games, free agency... etc.Comment
