All they do is walk the ball up then sit there and dribble it for 20 seconds and take a shot. There is hardly any ball movement, i haven't seen them run a single play yet. They just stand there like they are braindead. Anybody else noticed this?

Maybe it is cuz ive played 10-15 games mostly as the Lakers on all-star and superstar and usually every play the computer dribbles it up with either jameer or vince and they just stand at the 3 point line dribbling around then take a bad contested shot. I just got done playing and this one play was really bad.. pietrus was dribbling at almost half court for 20+ seconds until 1 second was left and he jacked up an almost half court shot.. lol .. ??

I'm not going to bother redownloading the game and I'm getting the retail game anyways but I hope this doesn't happen on retail.

I think the demo is just a bit buggy. I have seen a few weird thing but beluba has said he is going to check the retail and see whats going on and get back to everyone.

It's not just him. It's happened to me and I've seen other people mention it.

Chris Smoove vid 3:05 it happens, he's playing on superstar as the magic.

I wonder if it has something to do with the cpu waiting for something specific to happen offball that's not happening so it's just stuck waiting.

I think part of the reason it may be happening is the game is trying to simulate teams not shooting early in the clock. Only problem is sometimes they will take too long and have to take up a terrible shot.

I wish instead of just standing there the team would move the ball around. Look for some openings in the D instead of just standing there waiting then running a play.

I just fired up the demo for the first time and saw this right away. I'm pretty confident that this issue has been resolved in the final build. Or at least is extremely rare. Either way, I'm going to ask our AI guys to build in some safety code for the patch to ensure that the AI doesn't stagnate just in case.

                        PLAYBOOK!

It'll be your best friend this year for the CPU trust me. Right now as the User you probably just want to start learning your playbook. In do time trust me the CPU is going to run plays that won't be a problem just get your defense ready for it when the time is comes.

                          Beluba,

Please have them to adjust the default plays if possible. They lack ball movement PERIOD!

It has been a problem for the last few years with the default plays only designed to fit a generic playbook or plays that the user can run easily.

Have them tweak it so that right out the box everything isn't designed for catch and shoot or iso plays by the cpu which hurts the overall ball movement. Please have them install more motion plays which will give more options to the CPU other than just the catch and shoot or basic fundemental plays.

If not I understand because you don't want to install plays a causal gammer might not want to learn. But that would do wonders for the CPU players not being coded to run those same fundemental plays as if they are in practice mode all game just learning the basics of each play.

The ai doesn't run generic plays anymore, pm.
