Any chance of 2k making another College bball game?

Does EA have an exclusive contract? Is there any chance we can get 2K working on it again - I miss the game so much. I should go back and buy 2K8 again...

EA has no exclusive rights, 2k just saw there wasn't much of a consumer base for their College Hoops product. yes, you'll see a lot of die hard fans for the game in this forum, but there wasn't enough casual gamers buying the game, so thus they stopped making the game and the development team went on to other 2k sports games.

EA does have an exclusive contract for a few years. They saw that 2k dropped out and the door was open for them to get the contract. I think 2k will try to venture into college basketball again one day. Their game was too good for them not to.

Over on the 2K forums I heard look for the next one in 2k11 or 2k12.

Now you can say that 2K walked away but the price was so inflated by EA that 2k couldn't compete so they walked away. This was also in a game mag but I can't remember which one it was. BIG BUSINESS=BIG MONEY.

I see 2k making another CH game again soon. The game was way too good for them to just leave it in the dust. Then again, 2k has made some baffling decisions in the past. 2k8 will hold up for another few years but eventually and I mean eventually, be it NCAA Basketball 2018, EA will pass 2k8.

I was tired of hearing what people had to say about College Hoops 2k10 if it was going to be made or not, without any actual proof or knowledge so I took it upon myself to mail 2k sports and here's the reply that I got:

It's possible but it's not a definite. We are still trying to work it out with the CLC. Thanks!

I hope so. CH2k is my favorite game. Every game I have takes a backseat to CH2k.
