List of In Game Achievements to Unlock Equipment

Well, here is a list of all of the in game achievements for created skaters you need to perform in order to unlock the equipment and the slot boosts:

STICKS:
1 slot
- Score 2 Goals with created player in BAP Prospects Game.
- Unlock your Pro Hockey Card
- Get drafted in the Top 10 in the NHL draft in BAP mode.
- Unlock your Superstar Hockey Card.

2 slot
- Win 5 Shootout matches online as skater.
- Achieve a +/- of 20 in EASHL
- Play and complete an offline game with each German League team.
- Win the Stanley Cup in BAP in your 1st season.

3 Slot
- Get all A's in BAP mode game with the following created player types: Playmanker, Power Forward, Dangler, & Tough Guy.

SKATES:
1 Slot
- Play and complete the Prospects Game as a Skater.
- Score 2 game winning goals in EASHL.
- Score 3 goals in a period with your skater in BAP.

2 Slot
- Get promoted to 1st line Forward on your NHL team in BAP.
- Play and complete an offline game with each NHL team.

3 Slot
- Unlock your Legend GM plaque in Be A GM.
- Get 200 hits in a BAP season.
- Win 10 fights in BAP
- Get promoted to 1st Defensive Pairing on your NHL team in BAP.

GLOVES:
1 Slot
- Play and win a Single Playoff Round in Playoff Mode with Default Settings.
- Play Battle For The Cup and Sweep a 7 Game Series for the Stanley Cup.
- Upload a Screenshot from within a game to EA Sports World.

2 Slot
- Play and complete an offline game with each Swiss League team.
- Get all A's with a created Sniper in BAP mode game.

3 Slot
- Play and win a game with the Montreal Centennial Team on All-Star setting vs. the CPU.
- Average 1.0 Turnovers per game for your created player for one full season playing at least 40 games in BAP.
- In Playoff Mode, play and win all games in each round without a loss on Default setting.

HELMETS:
1 Slot
- Play Battle For The Cup and win the Caulder Trophy on Default setting.
- 50 assists in 1 season with your EASHL team.
- Play and complete an offline game with each Finnish League team.
- Get all A's with your created Grinder in BAP mode game.

2 Slots
- Complete a 3-for-3 trade in Be A GM.
- Get drafted in the Top 3 in BAP with your created skater.
- Complete 1 season playing at least 40 games with your created skater in BAP.
- Block 5 shots in NHL BAP on Pro against the CPU.

3 Slots
- Average 2 ppg playing at least 40 games in one season of BAP.
- Get 200 goals with your EASHL team.
- Get 70 points with your created skater in one season of BAP.
- Complete 3 seasons playing at least 40 games each season.

- Average 2 ppg playing at least 40 games in one season of BAP (Slap Shot Accuracy).
- Get 70 points with your created player in 1 season in BAP (Faceoffs).

- Play and win a game with the Montreal Centenial Team on All-Star settings vs. the CPU (Speed).
- Get 50 assissts in 1 season with your EASHL League Team (Acceleration).
- Complete 1 season of BAP playing at least 40 games (Agility).
- Upload a screenshot from within a game to EA SPorts World (Balance).
- Play and win a single Playoff round in Playoff Mode with Default settings (Aggressiveness).
- Win a game in OT in Battle For The Cup mode (Checking).
- Play Battle For The Cup and win the EA Cup with Default Settings (Endurance).

+3
- Get all A's with a created Dangler in BAP mode game (Speed).
- Achieve a +/- of 20 in EASHL (Acceleration).
- Play and complete an offline game with each team in each of the following leagues:
AHL (Agility)
Swedish (Balance)
NHL (Aggressiveness)
Finnish (CHecking)
- Get all A's with a created Power Forward in BAP mode game (Endurance).

+5
- Get 200 goals with your EASHL team (Speed).
- Average 1.0 goals per game, playing at least 40 games, for one season with your created BAP (Acceleration).
- Score a total of 250 goals with your team in Season Mode (Agility).
- Sub a European League team in a Default NHL season and win the Stanley Cup (Balance).
- Win 10 fights with your created player in BAP (Aggressiveness).
- Get 200 hits in a BAP season (Checking).
- Average 1.0 Offsides per game for 1 season playing at least 40 games with your created player in BAP (Endurance).

GLOVE:

- Unlock your Superstar card (Passing).
- Unlock your Pro card (Deking).
- Upload 1 video from within game to EA Sports World (Discipline).
- Buy out a players contract in Be A GM (Toughness).
- Unlock your Veteran card (Puck Control).
- Complete a 3-for-3 trade in Be A GM (Durability).
- Play and complete the Prospects game as a created skater (Deflections).
- Play Battle For The Cup and win the Caulder Cup with Default settings (Shot Blocking).

+3
- Play and complete an offline game with each German League team (Passing).
- Win the Art Ross Trophy in your first year playing at least 40 games with a created skater (Deking).
- Get drafted in the Top 3 in BAP (Discipline).
- Get all A's with a created Tough Guy in BAP mode game (Toughness).
- Play and complete an offline game with each Czech League team (Puck Control).
- Get all A's with a created Grinder in BAP mode game (Durability).
- Win 5 shootout matches online as a skater (Deflections).
- Block 5 shots in an NHL BAP mode game on Pro vs. the CPU (Shot Blocking).

- Unlock Legend GM plaque in Be A GM (Passing).
- Win the Stanley Cup in 1st NHL season in BAP (Deking).
- Get 150 total points in 1 season with your EASHL team (Discipline).
- Unlock or purchase all of the Aggressiveness Boosts (Toughness).
- Get 3 assists per game in 4 consecutive games with a created skater in BAP (Puck Control).
- Average 1.0 Turnovers per game in 1 season playing at least 40 games with a created skater in BAP (Durability).
- Win the Stanley Cup Twice, playing at least 40 games each season, with 1 career in BAP mode with a created skater (Deflections).
- Block 200 shots in the EASHL (Shot Blocking).


Just some notes here. BAP is Be A Pro mode. I made this list to coincide with how it looks in game, so, top to bottom = left to right in the game, since that is how the stat boosts are listed in the Hockey Shop menu.

For Helmets, the unlock goals are the same for whatever ability you are trying to boost as it is for the item, so, if you wanted to unlock the +5 Shot Blocking boost, you would have to block 200 shots in the EASHL.

The easiest one to get is definitely the "win a game as the historic Canadiens team on all-star difficulty."

You get 3-boost skates for that one, so it's a great deal.

Here's an easy way to get the "win the Stanley Cup with a European team on default settings":

Substitute HC Davos from the Swiss National League into a normal NHL season on the default settings replacing the Carolina Hurricanes.

Sim all games until you get to the clincher of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Win the clincher and your reward is the +5 balance boost.

Took me about 15-20 minutes total to get it.

Nice call on that. Hopefully, everyone will put in their tips on unlocking these items easily as well, since, really, only Sandy Vag girls would buy these items.

Be a man, nothing easy is worth having, and, if you have to have this ish, at least have some self pride and unlock it like a man. This ain't Madden, Ladies...

+3 deflections for winning 5 online shootouts:

Even if you suck at this, so do most other people playing online.

I used Pittsburgh because they have a nice mix of shooters and a strong goalie.

My advice is to move as little as possible in goal until the shooter has confined himself to taking a certain angle with his skating and body positioning.

On offense, try coming in at an angle and faking hard one way then shooting the other way.

Took about 20 minutes to get that one.

I'm a noob to the forum, but I think this is a great idea and will participate in these tests. Personally, I think this thread should be stickied: I'm the type of guy who "needs" to have the best RPG stuff, but I rented the game and thus don't want to buy the upgrades (yes, spending all that time instead is ridiculous, but that's just me...).

I can confirm that:

- For the "win a stanley cup in season mode with european team", you can change the rosters (for example, take Team Canada's, an idea I got from someone else), start a season, and sim ALL the way through (even last game), saving along the way if you want.

- The "win as habs centenial" is very straight forward and can be played against any team, locked position or not (but I think you have to be in control the whole time).

- A saved game right before the clinching moment (say, in season mode, right before the last game of the finals) can be loaded to unlock the challenge. I know this because I unlocked the european season stanley cup win, then didn't save my profile and the game crashed. When I loaded the game again, my stuff wasn't unlocked, so I loaded my saved game right before the last game of the finals and simmed: it unlocked the equipment.

- A saved game AFTER the clinching event (for instance, after winning the cup) does NOT work.

This makes me wonder if using other ppl's saved games would work to unlock stuff. Also makes me wonder if that's ethical since the unlockables are being sold (then again, is that ethical?).

Finally, I'm halfway through a playoff mode with default settings where I subbed a team for the centenials and sim until the last 5 minutes every game. I'll let you guys know if that works tomorrow...

I thought you had to play all the games in that "go undefeated through a playoff on default settings" achievement?

Right now I've set up an 8-team playoff with the Swiss National League using Zug that's in the second of three rounds.

Subbing in the Historic Canadiens would be a lot easier, though, if you can just sim games to get it unlocked.

Edit: just simmed one with the Canadiens and it didn't count, so looks like you actually have to play the games.

I meant simming and then intervening with 5 minutes left to the game, every game. Is that what you did?

I had forgotten to mention that I tried simming in playoff mode, even simming the entire thing (getting only wins) except the actual last finals game, which I played. All it brought me was grief when I had to watch the entire cup win celebrations with a team I didn't care about, but no unlockables... hehe.

Nah I just played the games all the way through.

I did lower it to Pro difficulty, though.

Anyway, won the playoff with Zug and got the +5 wrist power boost, which is a huge benefit given how much that stuff costs to upgrade without boosts.

Well, simming and intervening with the centenials did not work: I didn't get the boost. If you got the boost with Zug, that means it's probably the fact that I didn't play the games from the start.

Weeman, let me get this straight: you managed to unlock it using only 3 rounds?? I guess that isn't part of the default settings?? Looks like I'm doing the shortest possible playoff round tonight...

it really does look dumb, i don't wanna be forced to use a CAMO Helmet, Gloves, and Skates to make my player better. I'm using the Kane equipment so i can at least put on some of the attributes bonuses

The word "with" should be "as" in those descriptions as it tried playing with them in pairs and it didn't work. You can play as those teams in shootouts and it will count. Takes longer to get a game setup and loaded than it does to play a shootout.

It's pretty stupid that you can't palette shift any of the gear. Custom colors on goalie equipment is cool for until you realize you're stuck with a handful of textures if you want to use boosts.
