Next year EA should charge $30 for the game, $15 for the first patch and $15 for the second patch.

I just checked the bill, I didn't pay a discounted price for an incomplete game. So yes, I'm going to wonder what's the hold up with two patches that make the game more complete for the full price I paid in August.

The prob is buyers go on to other games. If I wanted a final release two months after I buy a game, I'd just wait and buy it two months after the BETA release.

I've never gone back to NCAA 10 since patch #2 came out, I'd already moved to Madden and back to COD.

That's why these delays anger buyers.

That's why the majority of people come to forums, to vent their frustration. What, do you think they come here to kiss the a** of a video that in no way deserves it?

Btw anyone that thinks Sony is working as hard as they can to get the patch out is fooling themselves. I'm sure its a real tough process....Most likely some suits sat around and decided on a date a couple of days ago. What day and for why, who knows. But they probably put about 15 minutes of discussion into it set a date and thats that.

I don't have an issue if people want to vent about a patch or whatever it is, but there is a good reason there is a gripe thread as well. It's there for a reason, use it. Plus, this is not the only thread that talks about a patch, it's been 3-4 per day for the last several days. If people would just type in the word patch in the search function, they would discover several threads discussing the upcoming patches.

I am very frustrated with the "process" MS/Sony undertakes to certify a patch. There has simply got to be a better (quicker) way.

Unfortunately, they have to thoroughly test the patch out to ensure that it will not crash your game and/or your system. It can be a frustrating process, but it is necessary and time consuming. I am not making excuses for anyone, but it is what it is when it comes to patching a game.

Also keep in mind that even the smallest of fixes can actually cause major issues. In other words, say you add a fix for a minor animation(for example), it is very possible that the animation, when triggered can cause 10 other issues to occur with some of them being major(ie game crashing).

BTW, I am just as anxious as the rest of you to recieve these patches, but as someone who understands and works in game development, I assure you that it's not as cut and dry as it may seem. Now let's all hope that the new patch passes submission as soon as possible.

Call up Sony/MS and complain or ask them what the hold up is.

Should complain to EA because most of this stuff should have been tested and fixed before the game went gold and put in the release.
